just saw on catch up, Petor - LBK, on ITV's The Cycle Show. Piece on Dunwich Dynamo

did the "Bike Events - Ldn - Cambs/Breakthrough Breast Cancer" ride this morning. Starts at Picketts Lock near Enfield. I rode with my club (Southgate CC) then we rode back. 112m door to door and my knees are feeling it now.

Incidentally, my wife with 2 friends did the Ldn - Cambs bit, though it took them 8hrs - ouch! I got home before her which included an hour at the Cricketers' in Enfield

what a great day. started with a fab 10miles largely along the canal from Edmonton, then a crafty ride across several main roads - lots of it in the sunshine - to Fyfield where I consumed beer and hog-roast till the peloton whizzed by. I couldn't keep up with the greyhounds on the trip back, but Oliver held back to keep me company.

upsides: the weather, the company, the beer & the food but mostly the Epping road free from cars.
downsides: headwind going home, having to walk through Epping and the heavy traffic through Ponders End.

I did a good 60m today & enjoyed every bit of it.

special chappeau to (starfish&coffee?) who I had trouble keeping up with even though he was on a shopping bike!

Defo in for this as I missed the L2B 99% Traffic Free ride.

@Fox are you sure this hog-roast thing is happening? Only on their website it says their closed on Mondays

Waited 20 mins, there's no way I would catch them, especially as I can't remember the route. Bit pissed off - really could have done with another hour or two's sleep
