I've had the same pair of Sidi Dragons for years and years but they are finally starting to die. What I liked about them was that most of the parts were replaceable, especially the screw-on walking nobbles on the bottom.
Looking at the current range of Sidi mtb shoes, it seems like only the very expensive Drako and Tiger models have these replaceable soles. I don't really have £400 to spend on commuting shoes.
What's the go-to for long-lasting / replaceable bits / available in half sizes / very narrow-fit MTB commuter shoes these days?

Thanks @hippy !
I didn't know about RWGPS (I guess having only used GPSies so far) but that seems to have done the trick. I am a happy man : ) -
Is anyone able to convert a .gpx file into a Garmin Activity? Or tell me some other way of getting a heavily-plotted google map onto my Edge Explore?
(My Garmin won't accept routes, only 'activities', and my usual work-around doesn't appear to work anymore)

you could try one of these pens ...but it will probably look shite.
The only real way is to re-chrome (and loose the original paint in the process)

My neighbours are chucking this stuff out.
There's most of a Reynolds 501 road bike (56-57cm at a guess), some kind of hybrid-ish frame and forks, some tyres (a pair of gatorskins in ok nick), and some wheels.
It's located in a car park accessible from The Woodlands. You can't get a car in there but you can park for free nearby and walk in.
Come and get it before the scrap guys get here : )

Hi all - my neighbours in Hither Green / Catford area had these two bikes stolen a couple of days ago. Not great pics but one is a black Cannondale with white pedals and distinctive black and white bar tape, and the other is a green Planet X with beige tape and a black Brooks saddle.
Both are gravel / commuter type bikes with disc brakes and biggish tyres, etc
Please keep an eye out for them and send us a pm if you see anything. Especially if you're in SE London - apparently they were offered to a bike shop in Lee but were turned down, so hopefully they are still in the area.
Cheers : )

Late to the party but this is great @jontea
Turned out beautifully, love the shiny bits and those ceanks against the sparkly grey.
You're making me want another Winston!
