what is your bike for? its like a bit of everything?
No brake bridge? I know that strictly speaking its not a necessaity, but doesn't it help to minimise seatstay flex that is created from the power being applied to one side of the wheel? Honest question, as I am not an engineer.
@Willpalmer: I just use it for driving around the city....it's not specificly build for a special purpose, just felt like building this bike
@GA2G: I actually made a brake bridge for this frame, but when I tack welded it in place, I realized I liked the frame better without it. I know it helps minimizing flex but there is a pretty large weld area on seatstay-seattube section which seems to stiffen the rear end up enough. I didn't notice any flex so far (and I tried...)

what? twitchy as hell, no brakes and no foot retention
plus it looks hideous
Coaster brake. I don't understand why you would build yourself a custom bike to have 0 stem length. Kinda makes sense with a kids balance bike but on a full size thing?
To my surprise I made it into the Bike Porn section......oh, and into the Bike Anti Porn as well.... ;)
(quotes are from anti porn thread)it's not as twitchy as it looks, the geo is quite relaxed with a 73 degree head tube angle wich makes the bike handle nice, imho.
yes, it has a coaster brake
Bar stem combo is an experiment for setup on a Polo and/or Trick bike, maybe a little more rise on the bars would be better.... the current setup feels good for just city riding too.

as promised: how did I do it....
First I designed the bike and made a SolidWorks drawing
After that, I cut all the tubes, mittered the tubing by hand, than tack welded togheter and checked with the 2D drawings
First impression with wheels
Frame, forks and handlebars primed and ready for paint
All steel parts and front wheel painted matte black and headset placed
The fibreglass wheelcover, just out of the silicone mould....sorry, no pics of sanding, trimming edges and applying sticker.
Finished bike

After this first build, I received a lot of great reactions to the little bike. Recently I was asked to build another one!
For this build I used Lo-Pro's for inspiration.
Specs:
CrMo frame & forks,
Custom stem/handelbars set,
Track dropouts,
Deda bar tape,
BMX mini seat,
10" front, 12" rear wheel
Fiberglass wheelcovers with custom graphics -
@Fox, yes, and a chain to...
@31, I brazed my logo (like my avatar) on the back. I think it looks a little more subtle there than a headbadge

Thanks. I had a blast building this thing.
It's gonna be a she! But you can't get them hooked on bikes soon enough, can you. And I just like to be the favorite uncle of course... She'll probably be able to ride it at the age of two, so that gives me time to build her her first real bike.
Dropouts are home made as well, they were supposed to go on my own frame, but this got in between.
Bar/stem combo is going to be tested for strenght soon, i'm currently finishing a fixed/singlespeed (still have to decide on that) for myself with that setup.

My sister is expecting her first born in a couple of weeks, so what present to give....?
So I build her this balance bike
-full CrMo, home build frame and forks
-custom handlebars
-oury's
-BMX mini seat
-plastic wheels
-inspired on old school female race framesTo check the size, I asked a colleagues kid to try it....

aye geezer - I sent you an email last week :^]
The illustrator file needs to be made screen ready [i.e. anything that is printed white on the t-shirt should be black on the artwork]
you've drawn it in white and loads of the paths are strokes not fills so you can't just 'flip' the colours - it would be aces if you can get it done as it's a sweet design
any probs PM me for me number
Sorry, must have missed your email....
I'll try to invert the colours asap.
Can you PM me your mail address so I can send it to you directly? -
