This was stolen yesterday, but that also sounds stolen :(

This Yellow and Turquoise Brompton was stolen by 3 guys yesterday evening (12/02/22) about 18:55 from a residential block on the Caledonian Road (N1).

Frame number: 1203198862/ permanent: 0102103301

It was snatched from outside our front door. We realised quickly and found them in the opposing Bemerton estate. One guy was riding the bike, back wheeling. We suspect they live there. But he quickly cycled away. One of them was a 6ft white male Wearing black baclava, dark hair, stubbly moustache.

This bike belongs to our friend who was popping in to say hi. We suspect they’d spotted the bike on the main road, followed her, and later tailgated into the development.

We’ve asked for cctv images, and have reported to police, @stolenride, and bike registar.

Please please if you have seen it or could help us rescue it let us know

I bought this but found another one that matches my bike better. Matt silver colour, unused, RRP 9.99.

so Pros:

• price pretty decent
  
• low on theft list
  
• not high maintenance
  
• good for carrying load
  
• recycled and all the social aspects helping prisoners/ sending bike to africa (thats for elephant bike not pashley pronto)
  
  

Cons

• weight. 23kg - that's more than half my body weight and more than double my usual road bike (which i don't want to ride around town anymore)...
  
• lighter alternative town bikes to be explored.

Does anyone have an elephant bike?
Maybe you also love the idea of it, but not found much use in the end??
This is my worry, but keen to try it and curious how they are as a town bike.
