Understood. I was asking because it was suggested that it was a bad idea to lace radially on the drive side specifically. That being the case it seemed odd for a manufacturer of mavics "renown" for lack of a more accurate word, to utilise that approach on a 500 quid pair of wheels if it was structurally suspect. But if having the non drive laced 2x compensates for the torsional loads on the hub (which 100% radial I'm guessing wouldnt cope well with) that makes more sense.

Stem length makes me weep. Unsure about the drive side radial lacing thing though - mavic have been using that trick on Ksyriums for years now I think? Admittedly the non drive side is laced 2x, but anyone able to explain why they do that?

In any case it definitely looks like crap.

I saw that. Seems that putting a lot of big and obscure words together in a random order now qualifies as a rational justification for throwing a ruler and some gold paint at a frame.

My vigarosa with hill climb modifications. For some stupid reason I thought it would be a good idea to tryto ride up Alpe d'Huez on a track bike next week. Wish me luck I guess...

Ok finally got a better pic of my present setup. I'm pretty happy with it so far. May well slam the stem further but this position is pretty comfortable and still gets me down quite far. An in-line SP is right up on the list though!

An inline post would also be handy but £££ I don't have right now

I've used a 17° stem flipped for mine, which does help get down (though this photo doesn't show too well - I'll get a better one next time I put the tt bars back on it). I'm also gonna slam the stem next time I use it as per advice from the TT magician that is @borek

Yup, they've had those a while now. I got my vigorosa while the 20% codes were circulating around too, but the bolt frames are crazy cheap now!

Really liking this bike, must be great to have built the frame up yourself and then finally get to ride it. Super tidy lugs.

The groupset is a great choice for the build too - a local shop has a Colossi steel frame with the very same on it and it looks almost as good as yours. How does it ride?
