I spent many months looking for a nice one with a known history that wasn't crazy money. most of the ones on ebay etc you have no idea if you are going to get it home only to find a expensive servicing is needed.

So I upgraded my turntable (and hopefully @BRM is enjoying the old one) I've gone for a Garrard 401. It's an early one/low serial number that was serviced by Loricraft a few years ago and runs like a rock. RB250 arm and ortofon mc15 cart. The granite plinth weighs a tonne. Very pleased so far.

Doesn't seem to be wildly different although crumbled italian sausage > pepperoni. Sauteed onion, mushroom and various peppers also works well. The one I did you blind bake the crust for a short spell then fill it, she seems to skip that.

Ah, well spotted. Since it's in american it didn't even register with me what size can was called for so I assumed it wanted one of the standard 400g gram cans. I used two of those bad boys and indeed 2 x 400g = 28 ounces. But still don't drain them.

Actually I used to go to the original Gino's East just off North Michigan Ave., I think that was the only convenient one then (ie 1990's) but they are now all over the place and haven't had one in ages. Have heard good things recently about Pequod's in the Lincoln Park neighbourhood
