bumped into @Jingle_Jangle on way home yesterday and mentioned I like this but i think it's a bit small for me. (might be worth a better pic of the oxidation) GLWS

Anyone have thoughts how to move a large-ish LP collection (many hundreds) from the US to here for a reasonable expense? I moved to London in 1998 thinking I would come for 3-ish years so left them in storage there. And yes it's pretty obvious I am unlikely to go back and I have always regretted not having them. They weigh a ton so shipping I fear would be eye-wateringly expensive (but certainly cheaper than replacing them). I have a fair whack of rare stuff and while I can of course stream much of it the experience isn't really the same. Thoughts?

I have been a reporter/editor for > 20 years and think some of what's happening now is pretty exciting. When I started you wrote 600 words and maybe had a picture. yes @Oliver Schick, there is a lot of trash out there. but @Fox is right if you know where to look there is some cool work being done. The opportunities for new ways of telling stories is real and when they work the audience is there and will come. For example (I didn't produce these, and the latter is optimised for desktop alas)

The problem is that producing stuff like this is time consuming and expensive, so not everyone can do it. Clickbait is cheap, so it's everywhere.
