@noorkoiv.
Woooo look at them brakes!!! Modelled on a 1930s Jeay brake. Not quite the full-on aero nastyof thed Dura Ace DX in the same year. I think its 1982, but will go look in my Berto Data Book and check. I think itheyre illustrated in 'the Dancing Chain', not a book i suppose many fixie riders have, or need! -

@Frink, our place is the old railway station at Naburn, that we run as a cyclists cafe on sunny weekends. Look for the Moulton in the window! Kettle's usually on.
You been to BikeRescue? I started that off 4 years ago, and only left recently. hope to see you around before i move to the smoke permanently. -

yeah course you did frink. so i guess youre from up here then? I live 100mtrs from the start of the vid, but also in canary wharf.
When i say #in' canary wharf I mean 'in' , on a boat.

@RHB. I helped design the latest Cyclus range, so it better had work!

@Crispin. Well yes, kinda. Look how quickle carcolours change. Bob's dont have the kind of colours you see on current production 'cool' bikes, like Charge and the like. Ive had my last couple of frames powder coated, when ive wanted solid colours.
Bob's also didnt, and wouldn't, do the correct green for my Raleigh Superbe project. (a Jaguar BRG which has a RAL code). I wasnt pleased at that. -
@edscoble, Wow! that's lovely. want one for my porteur!
@teenslain; I know mate, ive got a thick skin too. tis fine.

Ignore those silly boys! All the bits on these bikes are fairly swoppable, so dont worry about spares. Try a Bike recycling project (I'm setting one up soon). They will have shedloads of old roadster parts, or even full bikes like this.
I just rescued this one from the crusher on sunday. a 1950s New hudson. A new chain and tyres, and it will be a cool rat-ride for someone to knock about on.on Sunday... -

Re Bob Jackson painting,
Its about 18 months since Bobs did their last job for me, so maybe the policy has changed, but i couldnt have the shade I wanted. The colours listed are available, but the one i wanted wasnt listed, they are very good for 'classic' type jobs, but not good on contemporary colours. I wanted a French green.
The job in the pic below cost me just under £200 including the stem, shown here.
The colours are called Azzuro and Ivory

@johnnyfiasco. Yes, for 9 years Bob Jackson was my local painter and ive had a few dont there. Brilliant service. My only criticism is that they could do with a wider range of colours. They havent really kept up with the times in terms of custom colours or modern-looking solid colours.
Heres a job they did for me....
Ive been doing CMs since they began. Launched a couple too, but I saw what was happening was counter productive to the situation of cyclists on the road. Creating a sense of 'other' towards us, and alienating us all in the eyes of everyone else.
Maybe someone should link this thread to CM co-ordinators, or a CM forum?
