Given that it's ~24hours between starting the thread and you posting a picture of your bike with new wheels fitted, I'm guessing this thread was a waste of time since you must have been pretty hell bent on getting white wheels.
Also, I don't like it.
Let me just check in my bag of bothered...
Nope, nothing in there.

bollocks to the lot of you, I have got my white wheels and I like them.
I am having second thoughts about white seat and bars though. Will experiment I think.
Cheers for the few bits of input that were actually useful.
P.s. I know it is crap picture but I am drunk and stoned and I can't be arsed to put the sd card back in the camera...

I think I've got tennis elbow from riding on shitty roads. Looking forward to some recommendations...
I used to get that.
I think I have cracked it by conciously keeping my arms slightly bent and relaxed (which is now second nature) and leaning forward slightly more. I have not had it since then.
Riding any distance on cobbles or the like can do it too... Paris-Roubaix anyone?

Why do you want a bike that looks like a christmas tree? What's wrong with the charge? The only thing I don't really like are those brown bullhorns and would get risers.
there is nowt wrong with the plug, its a great bike. I am just tired of seeing people on an identical bike every time I go out on it

I have got a Charge Plug (blue with the brown bull bars and seat) and am planning to get some white rims and hubs for it and stick a white saddle and bar tape on it.
Now I am starting to think that might look a bit plain... What do people think?? Maybe I should throw some red hubs and brake cable and maybe chain in..?
I am sick of riding the single speed equivalent of the ford mondeo!
Cheers

Hello mate. I've got a K2 Ambush 164 which is like an Eldorado with small risers (like the recon riser). Really nice fast board for the piste and great off the side too. Only been used for 3 weeks on snow. No major scratches, no damage to base or edges. Will post pics if your interested. Will also add links when I am not on iPhone.
150 quid, no bindings though...I am in south London.

RIGHT..!!!
I decided that as the base plug has non-sealed bearings and someone at SE beers told me that a couple of months of winter riding had built up loads of junky shit etc. I decided either the Freestyler or the racer with their sealed bearings are where it's at.
So I rode the Freestyler. And fuck me, it was SEX. Not just grunty and sweaty, I mean the kind that you get after a few weeks with someone, when all the bumps and the grinds are in just the right places and you both move together beautifully and stylishly. Seriously, I almost did a sex-wee in the middle of Tooley Street.
BUT...
It has shitty messenger-style bars and brake levers that are a mile from my fingers - probably so you don't twat knuckles when you do tricks and stuff. So despite it riding like a dream, I was going to have to change some stuff anyway and I seriously couldn't handle the narsty snot-rims.
So I tried the racer and HATED the splayed drop bars. But it's shiny and chrome and silvery and lovely. So I just changed the bars and bought white grips and it looks classy but quite punchy at the same time. Bars are too wide and probably need a little trim with the old hacksaw, but it gives me control and a fatter road-presence, so I'm growing to like them.
Charge Plug = deep joy + happy Tim.
Mate, I saw you on Commercial Road in the Shoreditch area yesterday. Your bike looks wicked. I was on my blue "ford mondeo" plug. I am getting a bit narked seeing 2/3 identical bikes a day! I am planning to put some White wheels on, maybe a white chain too. Maybe even a white saddle and bars... Make it a bit different.
I locked it to one of those 'sandpaper lampposts' on Oxford street yesterday and came back and some cunt had obviously pushed it I'd knocked it and there are some massive scratches on the top tube. Might even get it resprayed/painted. How much would that cost??
-
why the fuck are you using your shoes on your tyres to slow down???
AND how the fuck are you managing to do that?? Are you clipped/ strapped in with the other foot at the same time?
When you get your front brake you can use it to unload the back wheel making it much easier to stop it turning...
Riding on the road with no brake is a bad idea in my book...

Riding down Mayfair was pretty bad too... My glasses did seem to keep the worst of it out of my eyes, but it was an effort not to get any in my mouth... I had to alternate between nose breathing and corner of mouth breathing... I realise now I must ride with my mouth open (I had a fly problem recently too...)

First rode spds many years ago. Fell over at traffic lights once in the first week (usual story).
Have ridden them for years since on various bikage without incident...
Until last Fridays mass that is... Riding my fixed charge down the strand in heavy bike traffic I unclipped my right foot, ready to put my foot down and stop as the mass ground to a halt just as someone came up on my right side and forced me to turn left slightly putting me off balance. I then slowly fell to the left with the grace of a ballerina and landed in a laughing heap with just a grazed knee. Much to everyones amusement - including my own.
4 kronenburgs before we sent off may have been a factor...

Well that's hardly a smiley face 30mph sign is it?
You are talking about a different type of sign. The 30mph ones (at least the ones I ride past) have no radar in them - they are simply a flashing sign. The ones that say "You are doing xxMPH" well gee wizz I reckon they might just have a radar in them..
This sign had a smiley face and the speed displayed. So it is completely a smiley face 30mph sign in my book.

I wish you a rapid recovery mate.
What damage have you done to yourself, if you don't mind me asking? Do you think it will be long before you are back in the saddle?
