I'd agree with the points that @youClown made, but really the only way is to do a proper test.
Maybe split the bag into bag & jar, and either have one of each each day, or alternate on which you use each day?

Yeah, at this point I'm thinking along similar lines. Stop running it mirrored, and back up the relatively small capacity of personal files backed up using cloud storage as well as some offline disk storage.
I did also just discover that Synology & QNAP also sell NAS Expansion devices, which seems like a pretty handy thing to have. Though I haven't done the working out, so maybe buying a bunch of new drives twice the capacity of your current setup is better value than an Expansion device + new drives at your current drive capacity.

I've found basic 'jewellery scales' from Amazon or similar to work perfectly fine, mainly use one of these now: https://rhinocoffeegear.com/rhino-coffee-gear-brewing-scale-3kg.html
Think it cost around £30 or so

I've currently got a 2-bay NAS at home for file backups and my kid's TV shows/films. It's currently running with mirrored drives and getting low on space.
Upgrading to larger drives seems like a relatively costly option, and I can see a few decent 4x4TB options second-hand for £300-400 (I could get 2x8TB drives for my existing NAS for a similar price). And of course the 4x4TB option will yield greater storage capacity than the 2X8TB option.
Seems like a slam dunk for buying a 4-bay NAS right?

No idea on that to be honest, all my at-home grinders have been single dose.
Personally I wouldn't bother with a grinder with a hopper for home use.
They tend to retain more grounds which means you'll have some stale coffee in each shot (assuming you're having 1 or 2 per day), and any grind changes will need purging of old grounds to ensure you get a representative shot (though if you're using the same beans, this likely won't significant factor).
If you're measuring by time, you'll need to compensate in dose for any times you're adjusting the grind fineness, as a coarser grind setting will result in larger dose for a given time (and vice-versa of course).
The weight-based ones (such as the Sette 270wi) do seem to be pretty accurate, but I'd always be wary of the weighing mechanism/software being a failure point (no data to back that up of course!)

But the outrage over the price is a reflection of the lack of education and serious engagement in art both on the part of individual and wider media.
So, you don't think it's an example of 'good' art, but you also think that anyone who is outraged at the $6m+ price tag shows a lack of education and/or serious engagement with art?
I'm perfectly happy with opinions on art being subjective (I mean, I'd almost go as far to say as it's pretty much always going to be the case), but your original post did reek of snobbery IMO.

I'm not one of the ones that are outraged by the price, I am certainly baffled over it though. I understand that the value of these sorts of things is subjective (at least I would argue so), but are you able to offer any sort of insight as to why $6 million or so is a valid price for this?
Aside from "because that's what people are willing to pay for it".
I'm asking this genuinely btw, I'm completely in the dark as to how art pieces are priced. But the price point here is genuinely something I don't understand.
And I guess a follow-on point, is there any difference as to how something like this is valued vs those NFT monkey portraits that seemed to take the world by storm a few years back?

Definitely been tempted to pick that up a few times, seems like the humour is excellent also. Unfortunately these days I share my Switch with my daughter and could do without her telling her friends the names of the games she's been playing when she goes off to school!
Will definitely pick it up at some point though!

While I enjoy watching the sport, I'm not the most well versed in it, but I'm happy to see Holt do well.
Seems like a pretty genuine guy
