sorted this yet, murts? i cant even get the kies to launch on my mac (10.5.8 os). just want kies so that i can upgrade my sgs2 to ics.

anyone know if an o2 shop would do the upgrade?

Im looking for a good condition mobile phone for my mum. Big good quality screen, camera and generally simple to use...something like the nokia 6300 series maybe. it's unlocked of course.

may not be burn-in (whatever that is) but i do get the 'ghostly silhouettes' of the clock and pretty much most of the menu bar on top when they shouldnt be there. hope they do come to that concl tho, that it's a defect

i think my samsung gs2's lcd is stuffed. started off the size of 5p coin, i get a slight tint with a slight green/yellow halo border on the top right part of the screen. two weeks on, it has now spread covering two thirds of the screen.

it's noticeable on predominantly black or white screens and pics and sites appear dull. ive read that it's a 'burn-in' and happens on AMOLED screens. occurs when a part of the screen is exposed to bright inactive light for long periods. but i constantly have the screen brightness to lowest setting. anyone else experienced this problem?

bought the archos 101 yesterday. happy with it so far. but im having some issues with the slow response of the touch. particularly the 'buttons' around the bottom edge of the landscaped screen. but i think ive figured it out now, i just have to press with a full finger print rather than just the tip. @hippy, you mentioned you had to did some i.t. computer wizardry thingy to improve the touch sensitivity? what was it? it's still on its orig os and ive not downloaded any firmware updates. all ive done is downloaded arctools, google android market and few little apps.

quality of the screen is ok. it's no samsung gs2 but it's ok. bit limited in viewing angles too but dont see any two or three people watching/browsing from this small table anyway. it's still a pretty good package for that price

might get swype for it later. got used to it on my galaxy gs2

was just reading a few of the reviews on archos 101. a bit mixed. some say that you cant view streams like bbc's iplayer but some say it works. anyone tried it?

and is it true that it doesnt have android market on it? dont get it. might as well be windows mobile if that's the case

cycling weekly pretty much got it spot on. common complaints at the bike parking area on top of boxhill...lack of atmosphere and people not being allowed on the climb.

was on boxhill ticketed area. disappointed to be honest. was a bit meh in the end. the setting is there for a great atmosphere but they ruined it with over the top h&s stuff. they couldve allowed people on the road rather than sit on what they called the 'arena'. anything wrong with fencing off just one side of the road?
