This years approach is slightly different. We are running two separate events one the first for Women the second for Men. Both at LMNH and free to enter and race.

Prizes for the first four riders.

Many people do have the knowledge but not nearly enough to increase spending from 1% to 20% across the U.K. In one year. I think we'd be setting ourselves up to fail to easily. If we got the money and didn't spend it well or at all, it could possible be a long time before we saw the money again.

That would be an amazing amount.

In the last budget £29bn was allocated for transport. If 10% of that was spent on active transport we'd be spending £30 per head which is about £10 more than the Dutch....we need to catch up as they've been spending a whole load more than we have since the early 70's.

I think 5% of the next budget working its way up to 10% over the next few years is realistic. There is no point in having the money if we haven't the knowledge and infrastructure to build the infrastructure so to speak.

There will be more places released soon....so I hear.

i went with Winston a couple of years ago, it was amazing. I prefer it to Gent, it is much bigger and more grand newer stadium and a very different atmosphere.

I will be going back...not this year though. I can't remember the name of the hotel, it was cool though, more like a small bedsit with it's own kitchen & very close to the (a) red light area, which of course I didn't need as I was with Winston.

Funnily enough, I have sung on a rough demo for the first time ever....he'd destroy it. I've got to do all the vocals again at our workshop where I can sing above a whisper and the mic won't pick up po-po and the ambulances as they pass!

I am just getting some of my very old (1990) stuff transferred from DAT when that is done I'll post it up. None of my newer stuff is anywhere near good enough to be let out yet...working on it. Playing out these days is standing in on a open mic night on top of Dartmoor with my double bass, which takes up most of the pub. Fun though.
