On the Aeropress, I think the beauty is that its really difficult to make a shit cup of coffee with it. For years I stopped using it after getting really into pourover, but recently rediscovered it after buying the Aeropress Go for a tour last summer.
It'll never outshine a decent V60 or Chemex, but its perfect for times when you dont have scales or a thermometer, or for those mornings when you're running late for work and dont have time to nail all the variables to making a pourover. Quick and easy to get average results.
With more effort, it can make really nice coffee - theres some great recipes on aeroprecipe.com - but if I'm going to put that much time into coffee, or if I'm making more than one cup, V60 is still best. -
I had this same issue with nearly every cargo bike in a fleet that I was maintaining for a courier firm. All running Bosch mid drive and NuVinci N360 with eHarmony shifting. Enviolo initially warrantied the eHarmony shifting interfaces that mount on the hub, gave us a whole new batch that were supposed to fix the issue, but ended up having the same problem down the line.
Never got to the bottom of the cause, but one time while on the phone to enviolo, I was told that its a known issue between them and Bosch, where the Bosch components have 'communication issues' with the enviolo shifter. Have you seen an error code at all on yours? (Assuming you also have a Bosch motor)
Eventually the courier firm bought a newer batch of updated cargo bikes, which came with the enviolo cable operated grip shifters instead of the eHarmony stuff. Overall these seemed more reliable, and at least easier to diagnose if problems came about (snapped cable, cables set up wrong etc), rather than an electrical issue that seemed unrepairable. So you might want to look into switching yours from eHarmony to the gripshift.
I would personally avoid the enviolo hubs for a cargo bike in the future though. Had lots of other issues. Enviolo are pretty helpful and were good with warranty, but as mentioned above, I don't think the hubs are up to use on a cargo.

Bought this very unique cromo frame by CNC bikes in Germany and Masi low trail fork from here not too long ago.
It's a cool understated looking frame with a nice amount of tyre clearance. I can only find one other example of this frame built up on pedalroom here.
I built it up in quite a similar way to the original owner with 650bx47c, and went on a 1000km tour after I finished the build - packing a heavy tent and way too much stuff in general - but the low trail fork handled all the extra weight beautifully, and the bike was a lot of fun to ride.
Before building it up, I treated the frame to a few new coats of letokinois and bought a new mech hanger. It's hard to show in the photos, but I was so pleasantly surprised with the final finish of the frame! I also sanded the crank arms down to the raw aluminium, as its an improvement on the wear to the original paint (they are still beaterish but have been fine to use)
I've since moved the majority of the build parts over to a different frameset, as I couldn't resist another purchase from here. So I have this frame and fork up for sale again, along with:
- Uberbikecomponents ceramic headset (still buttery smooth)
- FSA 172.5mm cranks with 46/32 rings and an FSA bottom bracket that I put in after buying and is also still smooth
- Carbon seatpost, seatclamp
- Lots of frame hardware and other bits that came to me from the original seller including SKS mudguards, DIY full frame bag, probably more I can't remember
I'm asking for £250 for everything above, including postage to the UK.
Based near Amsterdam if anyone over here would like to collect.
I was planning to keep the pizza rack and bigxtop rando bag from the original sale, but could be persuaded to let them go if someone is really interested as they're currently not being used.
