Got it. Thanks guys! I only saw the pictures of the first wet day(s) so I’d deffo fit mudguards but then I forgot this is like a month’s worth of racing.

Must have missed the cool class of bikes because I’ve fitted mudguards to my bike and damn it’s been a revelation.

It’s crazy to see some of those guys set-ups. I carry more stuff for 100 km rides than some of these guys

Noob question here. Why don’t you see more mudguards in races like these? Weather seems incredibly different between states and seems like the added weight is nothing compared to added comfort? Or is it because you can’t keep dry anyways?

Same. Mate bought a Endurace CF SL 8 Disc Di2 and prices have gone up with 300 euro's but it's still better than other brands.

Thanks everyone for the tips. Not to familiar with the cargo bikes world so I was always bent on getting all the kids in the box on the front. Not ideal so might be looking into alternatives. Still have lots of trailer straps lying around but the other half will be riding the cargo bike more than me and she'll need some convincing :p

On the same note, anyone with a good tip on a cargo bike for two/three kids?

Plot twist, it's one boy (almost 3 year old now) and one baby girl still in a maxi cosi. Seems like r&m has a maxi cosi adapter but I can't find lots of pictures of how this translates to space left for the other kid.

Also, looks like most people just find a way to strap the maxi cosi to the cargo bike in some way or another. Although I'm a keen DIY'er, kid safety is not something I want to mess with.

The cube cargo was high on our list, but seems like the maxi cosi is a dealbreaker. Don't really want to spent R&M money right now, but seems like it's the only option atm?

i think (limited research atm) that it's due to the box and not the bike itself. There is a german forum where someone transported something like 5 bags of 25kg of sand and it was ok.

AFAIK audaux is starting up again in Belgium. 11/07 is the next ride so BoB should be good. IDK how many people attend, but audax are online sign-up only, and different starting hours. No idea how they would do that with BoB.

I was recording an activity on the edge 820. SO called that we would meet up somewhere. I wasn't sure about the route so used garmin connect to make one. Wanted to send it to the 820 but that's not possible when you're already recording? How stupid..

I went from 110 kg to 80 kg with kcal counting + exercices. Biking is by far the healthiest one to do to burn calories. I'm down to 80 kg and still wonder if other people think I'm fat.
