After completing the bleed process, keep the syringe attached to the calliper. I reinserted the wheel, adjusted for max lever throw & reach, then added a few extra millilitres of hydraulic fluid to the system. You can then meaningfully use those adjustment screws to dial in the setup. If you keep the bleed syringe attached through this process you continue to add/remove until perfect. Faff but worked for me at least

Possibly whatever down to whatever they're gritting the roads with?
I've been removing pads and thoroughly cleaning with muc-off disc cleaner then using the same to clean the rotors. Gets me another few wet days London commuting without the screaming.
I'm using stock Shimano pads in RS785 calipers. Have read that lightly sanding the pad surface can rejuvenate them if they've developed a hard glazed surface. I'll be trying that next.

I inherited some Ruark Sabre speakers (manufactured 1995) and looking to pair with a replacement amp after my last one died. I've been told that amp and speakers need to be 'matched' but can't find much by way of specs for the Ruarks.
Any experts here think a Tangent Audio Ampster would be suitable?
https://tangent-audio.com/products/9-electronics/67-tangent-ampster-bt/It's going to £150 and I've got a £70 amazon voucher to stick towards it.
For use in a small kitchen/living room.
Will plug a TV into it, mainly streaming DAB radio and streaming songs from iPhones etc. Seems to fit the bill. Great reviews. Simple.
2x 50 wattsThanks

Hi @Spares - Would rather swap to a road/cx disc frame or Oakley's or cash. The latter two ideally.
Have got some red Hope QR to throw in now.

@Bobbygp I've had my Garmin 800 since 2012 and it' served me very well. Originally bought for exactly the same reasons, getting out of London/exploring. It does occasionally crash or loose connection to sensors. The base maps were a bit rubbish but I bought a Garmin Europe maps for £20 or so on eBay and navigating was significantly improved. I"m not sure, but you might be able to upload OpenStreetMaps for free, have a read online. I've also used successfully with a few different battery packs on longer rides or while travelling.
The only thing that makes me want to replace it is the USB port is getting very temperamental. It takes a number of attempts to connect to a computer and sync. So - if buying second hand perhaps ask if the owner can demonstrate it connecting and downloading a route or uploading a ride.

@dancing james That Jagwire tool does look handy, thanks for the heads-up.
@Howard Noted!

I have Shimano RS785 calipers and on changing the pads for the first time there's no space for the disc to slot back in between - the new pads are touching one another. If I try and push the pistons back in (with butter knife), pushing one side inwards only pushes the other outwards. Old pads still fit back in and function.
Am I right in thnking I need to open the shifter bleed reservoir and let a little fluid out, so the pistons can move a little further outward?

- 3x9 Gearing.

I bought this a number of years ago second hand in perfect condition for £500 bike + £130 forks. I then commuted on it for a year, then decided halfway through a London to Bristol cycle that I (really really) should have bought a road bike.
It’s spent the last 5 1/2 years or so living in a cellar. Having just moved there is nowhere left for it to hide and it must go. I’ve never ridden it off road, because London.
- I think it’s a 15” frame. Can take some measurements, let me know what/where.
- Frame has both disc and canti mounts. Not sure if I still have the posts for the canti mounts. Forks are disc only.
- There’s a number of paint chips/scuffs, bit dirty, but overall not so bad.
- A few scuffs to the rims sustained during recent house move. Nothing structural, superficial.
- I stole the QR skewers for another bike so they’re missing.
- I’ve lost an adjuster dial that lived on top of one of the fork legs – not sure what it was for.
- No pedals but I think I have some black DMR things somewhere.
