Is there a reliable solution to replace a USB A cable with a wireless connection?
Looking to wirelessly connect a niche CNC paper cutter (Intec FB900) to my win11 pro laptop instead of the 8m long USB A booster cable thing I’m currently using. I have an Eero Pro in the room and could add another next to the device if that was the start to making a solution.

I’m going to put up shed against the side of this outdoor socket. It’s going to be too close to open the lid enough to get a plug in. I’d rather not move the box to the front of the building so…
Does anyone know of a particularly low-profile outdoor socket box?
If I did have to move it, what’s the best looking outdoor socket box that’d look good against the weathered wooden surface? Ideally black. Saw some Gira bits online but were Euro plugs and not IP66 rated. -

The Walcot is pretty family friendly in the front section. Have only been for Sunday roasts, which are great.
https://www.walcothousebath.com/Landrace Bakery nearby is worth a stop for a takeaway cinnamon bun.
Both a bit of a walk from the station.
+1 Beckford Bottle Shop is great.

Would covering over the root area of a 5m Acer tree with a weed membrane thing and gravel kill it?
Technically maybe only half of the roots as the tree sits right next to a wall. We were going to make a gravel walkway between raised beds and thought it’d look nice going flush to the tree but obviously don’t want to kill it. And don’t know anything about gardening.

Yes, the side-by-side arrangement was the one I meant by horizontal. I hadn’t thought about weakening the door like that so thanks for the warning!
This alternative has an 82mm backset which might be a compromise:
https://www.periodpropertystore.co.uk/ironmongery-c4/door-furniture-c22/mortice-locks-c25/imperial-locks-g5000-5-lever-mortice-sashlock-p5378It’s an old’ish house and for whatever reason in my mind a handle doesn’t look appropriate.

I’m going to refurb our front door and would like to replace the handle with a knob on a rose+key hole thing but that would be too close to the frame to comfortably open/close. It’s a five lever sashlock with the centre of the handle 50mm from the lip of door.
What are my options?
Is there a type of sashlock thats 30mm or so further back that I could chisel out. Or would I have to change to a horizontal sashlock and fill above and below the void left from removing the old taller one. -

Any recommended lens type or coating for sunglasses that would get rid of back glare?
I bought a pair of Moscot sunglasses matching my regular glasses to eventually get my prescription put in but the reflected glare back into my eyes is ridiculous. Same issue with their clip-on sunglasses. Can’t see anything when the suns out!
Round Hill is also great
