Two bikes for sale. I’m based in Stroud, so I expect demand to be low (if any!) – especially with the current Lockdown. I’d rather not post as sourcing a box will be difficult. But if anyone lives locally, or wanted to arrange a courier, then great.

    Exhibit A.
    90’s Marin Pine Mountain.
Resprayed at some point prior to my ownership. Comically rough paintwork, but no dents and structurally sound. A smorgasbord of old and new parts, highlights being a new Deore rear wheel and cassette, and a rather rare 26” steel fork with eyelets (Thorn, I believe). It’ll come with mtb tyres on, a pair Schwalbe marathon tyres, and some new 26” mudguards as well. I also have a rear- pannier rack and carbon riser bar I can throw in for an extra £15 (for both), if wanted. Gears and brakes work OK – could do with being re-cabled. Pedals included. Bottle cages excluded.
Heaps of fun. No sleepless nights about scuffing the paintwork. Functions as a light tourer. £250 (basically - £150 for the bike, £50 for the plush fork, £50 for the new rear wheel and cassette). The picture shows the bike in light touring mode, but it’s currently set-up with mtb tyres, the new rear wheel, and without the mudguards and rack.

    Exhibit B.
    Cube Attain GTC.
58 Carbon Frame (fits slightly smaller – I’m 5ft 10 3/4). Ultegra group set (but standard brake calipers). It’s done somewhere in the region of 3,000 miles – used but not abused. It’s 100% not suited to the South Cotswold’s agricultural roads, but otherwise, genuinely comfy and fairly light. There are a couple of light scratches, which I'll photo tomorrow. 28c tyres in good to fair condition. Pretty average wheelset (Aksium elites) but they function just fine. They spin well and could do with a slight truing. It’ll come with the spd pedals but without the bottle cages. And I’ll install the original Cube seat post (alloy) and seat unless you want the seat and carbon post currently installed (as photo’d) for an extra £45, which I hope is fair.
    £550.

It goes without saying that both Bikes will get a thorough scrub this weekend (regardless of whether anyone is interested or not…) and I'll add additional pictures.

    Thanks @dancing james.

I've mulled the offer over and decided it's a no go for me. Best of luck.

Planet X are selling the Cinelli Hobootleg Easy Travel Sora Bike for £699 (down from £1400). Seems a good deal and all sizes are shown as available.

Ah - that's not good to hear! I guess it's the ability to accommodate a MTB tyre that causes the dearth. I haven't gone down the eBay rabbit-hole yet (hoping something pops up on here...). I'm looking for threadless, but I'm not sure about the axle to cross length (whatever is standard, I guess).

I’m based in Stroud so likely you’ll need to be willing to post…

    Wish list:

1 1/8” rigid forks for a 26” wheel with mid-height rack eyelets and enough clearance for 2.3” mountain-bike tires. Preferable with v-brake mounts, but perhaps I’d be interested in forks with a disc mount – but then you’d also need to sell me a front 26” disc wheel, and front disc brake, and brake lever, and so on…

Hoop bars – Jones bars, alpkits version – something along those lines? Or even something vaguely swept back and with some rise, without the hoop. Looking to test the water with this bar type and I'm way too cheap to order a new Jones bar.

    Deda zero stem 100mm

    26" Mudguards

    Thanks for reading – Joe.

    Looking for something around the 56cm / M/L mark. I'm 5ft 11.

Max budget of £375. Preferably a modern build, with a 32 on the cassette to give me a vague chance in the Fred Whitton in May.

I'm in Cirencester, so being vaguely local (Cheltenham/Gloucester etc)- that'd be great.

    Worth a shot.

    Joe
