  • Yep like a total noob I spent a few minutes wandering around trying to figure out why the pop-up wasn't more clearly signed, before knocking on the door where your colleagues patiently explained to me how the Gregorian calendar works. Luckily I'd been in the area anyway so all good. See you later this week!

Those tees look fire btw :)

  • your colleagues patiently explained to me how the Gregorian calendar works.

    Lols

  • @GoatandTricycle I'm afraid so, out of respect for my previous employer!

@Brain-Stew thanks for seeing the funny side - I realised this event posting could have been clearer, now edited title to include dates.

  • Sure, no problem. I’ll have a further think.

  • And to give an idea of the transfers applied, here’s one on a sample (realised the pics above didn’t really bring them to life)

  • Plus here’s the pop up icon (a snow-shower) in dark grey reflective on back of one of the T’s

  • guhhh, sorry for terrible photos :/

  • Looks great.
My daughter is getting increasingly excited for Saturday.
What's the deal with bike parking?
Also the ride, road, mixed off road any idea?

  • Bikes welcome inside! Saturday should be relatively quiet to bring into the unit - for the film screening on Thursday night we've got scaffolding bike racks to chain to outside, and it's in a relatively out-of-the-way courtyard.

  • Exciting. I'm gonna see if I can get out of work a bit early to make the Friday evening. The LFGSS stuff looks great.

  • Might bring my 12 week old daughter for a nose round on Friday 🙂

  • absolutely stoked to do some bagmaking on saturday
    thanks for hooking it up!

  • And apologies, missed the last bit;

Will be on road, and if required in two groups

…if your daughter is crafty, bring a t-shirt or similar, and using the reflective/coloured films you can create a design on the tee, which we press permanently onto it. Did a really nice kids workshop in the summer, which then got overdyed, and the animals/faces/whatever designs don’t absorb the dye, leaving them shining out.

  • ^and invitation open for anyone, not just for kids :D

  • Big thanks to @Chopsicle for the swift repairs of two of my tops today! Nice to meet you, and love the new season stuff. That Zoa jacket is something else.

  • Absolute pleasure! Thank you everyone who came over, some really nice repairs and customisation. Great to get kit running again. I always forget to take before-after pics, but will post a link when there’s something up on Albion - they have a few pics on insta stories atm. Got micro-musette workshops on all day, come and say hi if you’re on the area

….although I think I need some stickers with ‘Hello my forum name is _____’ made up!

  • And @amey! Amazing end to the day!! Mind if I post a photo of you taking a photo?

  • absolutely go ahead! i am just scanning the negs

  • I used to dye Pertex fabric when it was made at Perseverance in Lancashire until the factory closed in 2005. The name of the factory was Albion Mills. Is that just coincidence or is there a link to someone that worked there?

  • Lovely to meet you and the team this morning @Chopsicle. Already got good use out of my micro-musette on the walk home. Perfect size for a few cans of beer.

  • Just back from the ride. Heading down shortly for some bag action!!

  • Thanks very much @Chopsicle and all the Albion lot! Bought myself a musette and got a print put on my t-shirt.

  • Awesome day, thank you everyone that popped in and made stuff, and customised things. Some really cool stuff was cooked up - check the Albion IG stories (love the Brixton CC stripes).

@exteroceptive checkout Make Town near you for a huge array of sewing and textile classes. Brooke who runs it is awesome!

  • Wow - are you still working in textiles? Been really interesting learning about the Pertext heritage ….we were trying to get hold of more archive pieces for the weekend here, perhaps you dyed the Rab fabric we had, which was stitched in Sheffield ….naming is a complete coincidence! Once you see the name, it appears everywhere, pubs, house names, animals etc etc
