Well I got biblically soaked on the way home to Kingston. Hope it missed the Hertfordshire hills.

Yes it was a tad damp on the ride back to town - quite why you decided to come to a ride with a 66% chance of cold rain without a jacket, gloves or even SLEEVES I will never know!

That moment when @rhowe casually mentions that you'll complete the ride in daylight (before you've even started and with it already getting dark)..

It wasn't completely dark when we finished

We take the train out (well most of us do anyway) and you can’t put a bike on commuter trains before 7pm. Also the N in the title stands for Night.

Come next Thursday, you have the right bike for it ;)

Also good job @rhowe and @Rod_Munch on riding anyway and staying dry on top of that.

Slightly slower pace getting out of bed this morning

48x15 is the new TNRC standard gearing

Particularly as he would have been even faster if he didn't have to tow/wait for me. I knew I was in trouble when we promptly popped up in the Strava top 10 for the rise away from the station - and it just got worse from there. Thank god @Ruserius didn't turn up or they'd have probably egged each other on even more!

Mission for next week though is to regain the KOM from this prick (who can't even spell loop)..
