Anyone got a smallish lock ring tool they can bring along? Fitting a new chain last night made me realise just how worn my cog was, so I've picked up a new one to fit when I get home and am a little bit worried about slippy new cog slippy slip. I'm a bit reluctant to carry my huge chain whip around for the whole ride just in case it doesn't sit right first time... Will happily carry yours if it saves me carrying my anchor.

To confirm there'll be me at least @jaeyukdapbap and @cagimaha on the 22:21 from KGX tonight for others who want to groupsave up to PB

Aha! I’ve made it confusing by writing too many words. I wanna borrow a small/light one for the night like the attached. I’ve got a big clumpy one already. I think I’ve found one for a reasonable price I can go buy after work though.

Route look sweet, one minor observation/request, can we stay on the sea wall/esplanade on the run into and through Margate? The coastal path between Westgate and Botany Bay looks viable on the map, bit twisty turny but no stairs that I can see.

It's doable but the surface between Westgate and Margate is concrete slabs with some big gaps in between that get really annoying. We'll have already done a few miles of them just after Reculver so I normally route along the road for a bit. The route I actually use isn't plottable on komoot annoyingly as it uses a private/gated road however I've never had any issue going through it, there is one dismount needed to get past a gate. The route I'd propose (Dartford to Margate at least) is here: https://www.strava.com/activities/1796319653
From Margate Lido sign to Botany Bay I think it's a good idea to route along the path though. Likewise there's a section between Broadstairs and Ramsgate that I feel is better on the path.

@middleofnowhere @cagimaha no problem, we’ll figure things out once we’re there I guess.

Fairy nuff, I don't mind a bit of bump-bump-bump but it could get annoying after a while. Perhaps when we get there we can make a decision, it's not far between the two route options so we can pop on and off as we like.

Yep plenty easy to pick and choose as we go along, we can discuss before we get there as well.

I feel like I've made quite a miraculous recovery, so with the comfort that there are plenty of bail points am going to give it a bash. I'm going to critical mass first, so am aiming for the last train at 23h51 getting in at 00h11. Will try for the earlier one, but will see how the evening goes.

Well jell. Looks great. What a night/morning for it.
Love a beer commercial, the world could really do with a reappearance of the Boddington's cow right about now.
