Echappée Escapades 2018 Round 1 - The Flatter Gravelly One

Round 1 of the 2018 Echappée Escapades sees the return of the Flatter Gravelly One, the bastard brother of the Orginal. This ride will take you north out of London and serve up some of the finest Hertfordshire gravel over a gruelling 200km parcours.

In the great British tradition of the early season reliability trial, inspired by the iconic CiCLE Classic and Dengie Tour of the Marshes and in honour of the spring classics, Sunday Echappée presents ‘The Epic North'.

This ride operates a shit load of gravel policy.

Yeah all the sections are passable on a road bike no problem, just bring some spare tubes

Just a heads up that the clocks change at 1am on Sunday and we lose an hour- don't fuck up and miss the start!

I've singed up but have come down with a nasty cold/flu-y thing. Hoping round 2 is road bike friendly enough to make up for missing this one

Round 1, 2 and 3 are all passable on road bikes. Round 4 not so much.
