It's a nice course. Smithfields was great but there was always an accident waiting to happen, I'd love to have a chance to bomb around this

18:30ish for me. In plenty of time to catch the fixed crits and the elite stuff that follows. if I haven't fucked off to a suitable hostelry by then

Good event today, am a little worried with how ropey the fixed gear race was though. People were gunning for it on the neutral lap. I don't think it helped that we was counted in for it, maybe some people misunderstood that as a race start. Also some raced through the black flags which was quite strange and caused further spills. Alot the crashes were due to rule breaking and over gearing on what proved to be a technical course for some.
Other than that Great day. Good to see the scene developing well and being recieved well by the public, I enjoyed the 25mins +1 lap i struggled through. Looking forward to Cophenhagen.

How clear were the flags? From what I saw the marshaling was pretty limited and didn't exactly seem the sharpest tools in the box. Seemed like there were no flags being waved before people got back around to the crash.
Not quite sure why they didn't just stop the mens race when there was a rider being attended to from the neutralised lap.

Who was on the Look track bike in LFGSS skin suit?

hoke

Ah, thought it might have been him. Noticed he stopped coming round after a while. Do they eliminate riders or was he involved in a crash?
The NW corner of Gresham St was good for seeing crashes. I kinda agree with the sentiment of one of the women who went down hard that mixing the Elites with the lower Cats is a recipe for disaster.

He actually rode the Look? In a fixed gear crit? Brave man...

• #45
riders got eliminated when the motorbike lapped them i believe

The black flagging was pretty clear after the pile up I reckon the keenness of some of the guys wanting to perform well they opted to use it as an opputunity to move up which led to unnecessary spills.
The blue flag was pretty clear to me when I was pulled with 2 to go 🙈😩

Amen! Unfortunately 3 years not racing (and learning to turn right as well as left) has taken its toll on me and my legs and we were pulled off after 20mins, but the support on that day was bloody amazing! Thanks for everyone who turned up, you don't know how much that meant to me:
