I think I remember reading about Bill's take on SAW in The 12, and how he admired their production line approach to making music. It does kind of make you look at their productions differently (though a lot of it is still shit). And they even licensed this banger back in the day;

I have an old friend in Switzerland who is also a KLF nut.
Out of the blue I got an invoice receipt with the following detail “ Miss Pokeno – Purveyor of Disturbing Goods & Instruments of Nuisance”
A Jimmy Cauty riot shield is coming to me as it can’t be exported!
In an effort to reduce the price of s*y riot shields and because the supply chain of used riot shields is erratic at best, we have decided to do away with limited editions altogether, from now on all shields will be from an open edition, meaning there is no upper limit to the amount of shields in the edition. They will still be signed and numbered but when you are charging down Whitehall with the other 2000 s*y riot shield owners no one will know or even give a fuck what edition number your shield is.
NOTE 1: It is not an offence to own a Jimmy Cauty work of art but it may be an offence use the art work in a riot.
NOTE 2: It is an offence to use the word SMILEY as it is copyrighted by The Smiley Company and any past, present or future use of the word has not, is not and will never be condoned or encouraged by Cauty and associates.
*** EXPORT BAN UPDATE ****
Due to additional Brexit red tape it is no longer possible to export smiley riot shields from the UK.

Nice, am also assuming they might fall under 'Arms exports'? Either way, lucky you. How are they ever going to receive it now?

They are coming over for an record launch party. I am used as poste restante for them - always getting parcels of clothing, dvds, books, records, Drummond and Cauty curios which I keep until we meet up.

Good call, and good luck to them explaining it away at Customs when they return.

👆 any good?

I’ve not watched it yet. It would seem the KLF were a bit put out by its unauthorised release, which is rather poetic irony

I read on Guardian they saw it and actually gave their blessing, so I guess that makes it legit. Looks good, bought it on YouTube to watch but ironically someone has already put it up on there for free, but I wanted to buy it, having read the struggles the filmmaker went through!
