  • Gutted to say that I'm definitely not going to make this

Ibuprofen hasn't made any significant impact and I'm loathe to risk it impacting riding at the end of this week

Have fun! Looks chilly and a bit damp tonight, sounds kinda good to be honest!

  • Sorry to hear that, mate. Heal up soon!

  • For all those busy this evening, there's one more opportunity to get muddy, before I disappear again.

    Badgers go exploring

  • Too. Fricken. Cold.

  • Don't you race around muddy fields in the middle of Winter, wearing a skinsuit?

  • I drive to those after hefty forward planning

  • Cat keeps being sick too

  • Sorry for not coming Pete, spent an hour queuing at the post office after work so would have been very late. Hope it's a fun ride.

  • I'm going to caveat that I'm very tired so when I bonk and I will bonk, please put me back on my bike and point me downhill. It's mostly downhill home from pretty much anywhere in the forest.

  • Well I'm here! My left knee is knackered, and I've bonked already! I've had trouble regulating my chubby little bod all the way here.... Someone is going to have to stand guard over my bike while I get some scoff in ..... I'm very wobbly!!

  • I'm just a sack of excuses

  • This is gonna be the best ride evar!

    (Food)

  • Cheers all, I enjoyed that.

  • No worries. Hope to see you out there again soon :-)

  • Hope your cat is feeling better.

  • 15 minutes from home and the heavens opened :-/

  • I'm about 10 miles from home....in Harlow! Just had to stop for a 5 minute break.... My legs are ballbagged.

  • Hope you didn't get caught in that hail. That made my eyes sting!

  • What's the mud like at the moment?

I'm thinking of popping up to Epping this morning, and pondering which route to take.

  • Just got up....my left knee is shot after my seatpost constantly slipping about an inch....bugger.
No hail, but much cold! The old tootsies are still feeling a bit tingly this morning!
Good to see you lot, it's fun in the darkness! Kudos, as ever, to Indra and Marina for deciding that the best bike for Epping forest in the dark would be a brake less, fixed gear, with slicks......!

  • Oh, and I saw at least half a dozen real badgers on the way home....and a strange furry thing that I SWEAR was a small bear of some sorts.....it looked like a red faced panda, but I might have been hallucinating a bit...

  • Last night's ride.
