weather forecast is not looking great for Saturday.
Looks nice on Friday and Sunday though :-/
Don't suppose anyone would prefer Sunday?
-
• #179
Yea, I reckon I could manage a switcheroo. That would give me some more time to sort my bike out!
-
• #180
That'd be cool.
How about yourself @TomvanHalen ? Nice sunny day, rather than a tolerable drizzly/showery one?
-
• #181
That sounds a-ok to me

• #182
Does that free up anyone else to make it along?

Toss up between this or racing XC. Hmmm.
I know which one I should do, and I know which one I'd rather do...

Any other previous participants or interested parties? @branwen @MetalMelly @mmccarthy ?

Unfortunately will be at the coffee festival on Saturday Pete!
Hope you folks have a good one, looks like a great day out!

Yep, I have a VW transporter. If I manage to empty it of all my GF's work shite I could potentially get two or three bikes in there, including mine.

it's on Sunday now!

Whoops, yes... event date adjusted now :-)

• #191
Probably not, bit too far. Been running all over the South / East all this week. Will probably be on the border next week/end

Got a house-warming to go to that afternoon, doh!
It's a rare thing for me to have more than 1 (if that) social commitment over the weekend! Bad timing indeed on my part.

house-warming
Isn't it rather blindingly obvious that this is not for you? :)

Latest weather reports indicate that the date switch should save us all from getting drenched tomorrow.

Having a look at tomorrow's trains, @TomvanHalen & myself can catch the 10:03 from Norwich, which arrives at Brandon at 10:44. The Liverpool St - Brandon looks a bit messed up for Sunday, as I don't see a service before 09:28, which arrives at Brandon ( eventually ) at 11:25.
@Big_Poe - you might well be better off driving. I expect @howard can remember how long the journey took him last time.

On the plus side, it does look like being a lovely day tomorrow.

Excellent, well I'm definitely going to drive, it's 1hr 30 by car which is the same as the trains, when they're actually working. Where's the best place to meet do you reckon? At the forest? I've never been there so I'll have to check it out on Google.
Didn't realise you were coming from Norwich, I'm from that neck of the woods originally.

Brandon Country Park is the easiest free parking. I changed the event location now, so you should be able to see where that is ( on the first page ), just next to the visitor centre/cafe.

Where are you driving from, in case I decide that XC racing is not so important as having lelz
I'll give SS MTBing a go one of these days...
