  • Fuckin sexeh

  • I ❤️ mudguards!

  • This is bordering on too classy for the Rusierus-owned 'None of It Fits But It All Works' category of bikes but nonetheless slaps

  • @pastry_bot I don’t see your name on the list.

  • Ok in for this! The stars aligned etc.

I need to learn the route! Gonna feel like all new lanes

  • Oops, I booked a surf trip (what I'd always rather be doing tbh) but be assured I'll be there at the very least in Jan.
Otherwise, in very joyous (non hdij) news:

  • I actually have the 19th off work.
Don't suppose anyone has a drop bar/stem/brake combo they might be able to lend me?
Preferably 110/120mm extension, 36/38cm width bars.

Also Sunridge Hill fixed is pretty mean but I suppose it will cut the wheat from the chaff ;)
On RWGPS it says it maxes out at like 17/18% but I think its more like 22 to 28%.

  • Yup, Sundridge fixed will be absolutely appalling. You'll hear the sound of knee tendons snapping from the other end of Pilgrims Way.

  • You'll be less aero now, which is a problem with the 15,000mph headwinds typical of South-east England.

  • online sources say an absolute max of 17.4%

I felt compelled to check as a lack of GI thinking landed me in trouble at times.

  • I have 42cm drop bars, probably a 110mm stem somewhere and a cross-top lever. Wider bar leverage could be quite the boon up Sundridge... In Greenwich, DM if helpful :)

  • I did it on Sunday and saw 28% on my garmin. I can imagine that's not the most accurate but either way it steep 😅

  • We can all be thankful they've not chosen Brasted

  • it is more than all of the inner london climbs ! so yep, definitly over the treshold in all aspects.

I have cane creek drop levers, 40cm bars, 110 stem, but in modern 31.8mm. maybe you have an adapter ?

  • Unlike someone I know 70 miles into an 85 mile ride…

  • The goddamn mudguards were slowing me down Andy!!!!

  • should the current murmurs of hill discontent continue, I have only one thing to say: The Moderate Day hills will get steeper until morale improves.

There's always the south side of Toy's...

  • definitly over the treshold in all aspects

    maybe for you, chief.

I'll let you know about the bars and stuff, if I can get a set for 1" quill I'll go for that as style points ALWAYS count

  • i am not in a postion to argue my case with only my poor mileage of the year to show.
and the announced line-up of young whippets does not help.

  • I've got some Sram S500 levers and probs a brake calliper you could use if you're stuck. SE26 based

  • Nobody said anything about hills

  • What bars are they?

  • No idea, no branding. Had them lying around for years. Thought I'd try as I've developed golfers elbow recently. If I was marketing these I'd call them Smug bars

  • If they are 720mm+ wide and you ever fancy selling them give me a shout, they look bang on what I’m looking for.
