Wow. Beautiful. Do you like Loco Moco? On another note, what is the consensus on... https://rolfprima.com/products/vigor-fx?srsltid=AfmBOoqHBgKy9Khw5I_frxDPlRwPLUVzuwQKtBwQL12jFwlxxyl70wIo

I admit never had the chance to sample loco moco's but definitely a fan of breakfast wraps/hamburger meat and anything with gravy. We plan to return to Hawaii next year with family so will definitely search for it next time... 6 days visiting two islands didn't feel long enough.
But in response to your questions, I don't have any experience or know anyone who ride the wheelset link that you posted. In general lighter wheels will feel faster so it's worth the investment. Im not a fan of the spoke configuration or aesthetics but that is subjective to my personal taste. The skin suit looks good for the price but don't know about the durability of the materials and construction. I feel it's overkill for the streets but gives decent marginal gains if you're planning time trial or velodrome/criterium events. Nothing wrong repping your enthusiasm but not required to have fun on the bike.

Bars look great and much more appropriate for trails or whip skidding... I kinda feel like a try hard doing whips pulling up to stop lights with drop bars fitted... Just be careful when lane splitting through traffic because of the wider grip. Last place you wanna go down is between cars, especially after smashing into someones side view mirror. Consider yourself warned.

The wide bars feel good, as do the grips. Better balance, but I'm always checking on traffic now especially on the shoulder. My last "major" accident was on an mtb. A truck with a hitch skimmed so close, the worst. I bought 3.2mm lizard skin bartape that is suppose to go on the gravel handlebar. I usually mess up lizard skin tape (installation, use, it stretches and delaminates fast).

I hear you on the tape... I use gel strip under the bars to alleviate pressure on my palms so it stretches the grip tape quite a bit. To keep it from slipping I wrap in segments ie. Tops and drops.

Does my left crank arm need tightening?

Tight is tight, I will not slide on further if it's already tight.

Yeah it’s tight

Last time my bottom bracket was unevenly spaced was due to running an unmatched crank arm/spider... Does it make noise or wiggle around while pedalling? I usually have my drivetrain serviced by a shop when encountered with issues.
-
• #39
No wiggle. I was just concerned about the space between the left pedal and the bb shell. I just swapped out the wellgo pedals for another pair of thermalite. The chain is pretty stretched so I ordered the only available brand for track chains at a lbs. KMC x101. I'm too lazy to reinstall the hold fast straps so I put on the zulu straps. *also getting into the habit of rotating tires.

The weather is colder and I definitely feel it in my left hand while on the tops. I think I have to step my barwrap game up and try to master making lizardskins look clean and uniform. SRAM tape is nice but I’d benefit from a thicker bartape. New chain is insane. Especially uphill.

Wrap of inner tube underneath?

Split the inner tube before wrapping?

• #43
If you want. It's comfy, cheap solution.

Instead I decided to wrap lizard over sram tape. I assumed I had enough length for a full wrap. I was wrong and went with this. Let’s hope it lasts. Old mtb saddle as well. Idk I was too lazy to unwrap and start with halved inner tubes. Serves as good practice. There’s always rewrapping. First ride* Comfy hands, bum, wrists, hip

Thanks! I need to get my rear wheel trued and serviced. Kinda wobbly. Hopefully it's not the rim. Missionaries stopped me by surprise by my house after work. I immediately rode up the sidewalk and slammed on my bad knee. Still swollen but I can ride ok.

Tough luck brother. I'm no health practitioner but from previous experience with injuries I would recommend giving it a few days to let the swelling go down. You may be doing long term damage by not allowing for enough time to heal. Last thing you want to do is limit the flexibility/range of motion by not giving your body enough time to recover. It will be hard to stay off the bike but it will be worth it in the long run. Start with short low efforts and work your way towards longer distance but keep it easy... Wishing you a speedy recovery

Time to install a front brake
Thanks. I still want to get my Broakland fixed and have a backup bike
