Minute cryptic

Yep, in the Times daily cryptic there is a limit of just one of these per puzzle.

I would love for a minute cryptic format game but with much harder clues. Maybe a kind of division 1, 2, 3 type setup on Minute Cryptic.

For the level I am at, MC and the Guardian quick cryptic are too easy.

Any normal broadsheet cryptic is way too hard.

What's the middle ground?

Maybe the Guardian quiptic? What's that?

If you can do minute cryptic easily, then you can do the telegraph cryptic (I know 🙄) for sure, esp on Monday and Tuesday. You can get puzzles only online, or just pinch the cover page from papers in cafes etc

Too hard for me today.

Quiptic is definitely in the goldilocks zone (or at least intended to be - sometimes the Monday cryptic actually turns out easier). Everyman is another option.

Likewise. I had an idea of which was the answer, and which was the indicator, and how to work it out. Then I just pressed give me a letter until I had the answer.

This is a rare type of clue, possibly the first one I've seen in Minute Cryptic.

I was just going to say, I got par. Struggled a bit because the pattern didn't fit any of the previous puzzles.
