That article is outdated, but London, in fact, Thames Water definitely do not artfically fluoridate their water supply - (There may be natural levels of fluoride in water generally)

Firstly, there was a white paper looking at fluoridating the whole of the UK - even if that was to happen it would take years to do and many legal obstacles to overcome..

Secondly, information in that article in now incorrect such as local authorities are responsible, this is now overseen by the Secretary of State in the Department of Health and Social Care

Due to London water tasting shitty compared to the nectar I grew up on up North I've used a filter jug in the fridge for years. I probably change the filter half as much as recommended but it doesn't seem to be an issue. Stick it in the dishwasher when I change the filter as well.

It is tap water.

For spring/mineral water, it will be from a groundwater source typically private

Without wanting to sound all conspiracy nut nut, I wonder if Thames Water, considering recent events, can be relied upon to publish the correct data.

Following a further search on the contents of hormones, which I would consider to be a more severe risk then fluoride, I have found the following article and this one too, puts the level of hormones present in to context.

Edit: Filtered tap water is better than bottled due to EDCs from plastic.

The results are reliable - it is all reportable and its all public information.
