Enjoying this pile on by the BBC.
Covering their arse? Yes. Still enjoyable.

That could be where the exit poll is least reliable though.
It's likely they've polled >20% in lots of places but they'll be close to Labour and Conservatives and the exit poll might not be picking up on that nuance.
Fingers crossed they end up with nothing obviously.

Think I'm going to head to bed*, but Reform's 13 seat exit poll has really fucking soured the Tory spanking. I'm now wondering if they'll do better than that in reality.
SNP prediction is nice though, they'll no doubt use it as a clear mandate for more referendums.
*albeit while listening to Oh God What Now's live stream.

Ah yeah, remember reading that. Thanks.

Is it because the Labour leader is Keir Starmer and people like Wes Streeting might end up in the Cabinet?
-
• #3082
No, not at all. I’m delighted that the tories have gone and that’s the main thing for me. I’m not a Wes steering fan at all but I don’t find keir starmer as problematic as a lot of people on here and some of my mates.
Think it’s because the exit poll just mirrors what we’ve been told throughout the campaign - big labour win, conservatives will continue to eat themselves over the next four years. And we don’t know what the actual results and seats won/lost

Sky have a exit poll seat thingy...
-
• #3084
Definitely sets the tone! Saying that, have a few people watching at home and we’re all interested but not ecstatic. Not sure the next 5 years is going to be all that settled or rejuvenating for the country.
Agreed, looking forward to some tasty unseatings tomorrow morning.

Ugh. Was optimistically hoping for a Lib Dem swing but ah well. Still looking forward to seeing the sad faces tomorrow after 14yrs of ruination, incompetence, corruption, spite and lies.

I think (hope) that the reform number is overstated. They are new and probably a bit un-pollable.
-
• #3087
Boo 😔
There genuinely was a small part of me that hoped it would turn. On that and the Reform lucky number I'm calling it quits for tonight.

Least we know which areas to bomb. Apologies in advance.
I truly reckon we don’t have any reform candidates next election.

Where do you see turnouts?
Very much this. Despite the massive labour majority it feels a little anti climactic somehow. That may be because my gf fell asleep on the sofa and the cat was playing outside. Hoping to catch up on all the portilllo moments in the morning though. That’ll be a wonderful thing to wake up to.
Also the C4 coverage felt like just another 24hr news piece with lots of sniping. Don’t think the exit poll result has really sunk in yet for me and so heading to bed and looking forward to the detail and actual results and reaction in the morning.
