  • I live in what has been a very safe seat for the Tories for, well ever.

I've not had a single door knocker.

I've been voting since 1992, and lived in a different constituency for almost every election, had MPs for at least 4 parties in NI/Sco/Eng - I've never once had a canvasser for any party. Is that unusual?

  • Id say so yeah.

  • “Murdered a brown snake” according to the press release

  • I've watched closely and I don't think he actually shat in Rishi's lake.

  • Would obviously been better if actually gave “sunk the Bismarck” but as well that he got the job done without having to commit a foul

  • Dropped the kids off at the pool.

  • This post sums up the problem for thé Tories in a lot of ways I think.

  • If you buy milk today, it will last longer than the tory government. Can't believe it.

  • Probably because the milk has very sensibly adopted Faragist views rather than those of Sunak the Socialist.

  • Cows are herd animals. Inherently socialist. Real Tories only drink lone wolf milk. Because they are special free thinkers.

  • Milk better be raw; Louis Pasteur invented vaccination so pasteurised milk definitely also has 5G microchips in it.

  • He was also French. France is in Europe. Which is bad.

  • But Romulus and Remus were suckled by a wolf, and they’re European.

  • Louis Pasteur invented vaccination

Edward Jenner would like a word. Methods prior to his had something to do with injecting infected pus into fresh wounds; sounds like there's a decent metaphor for Tory govts in there somewhere.

  • But Romulus and Remus were suckled by a wolf, and they’re European.

Now you are straying into the Classics which is the requisite degree for any Tory politician. I thought they were going to ban useless degrees.

  • I thought that was PPE?

  • Has anyone photoshopped this into a Nazi salute yet?

  • Probably best if people don’t know what happened after “molon labe”.

  • We're incinerating useless PPE at the moment so adding a few lecturers to the pile probably wouldn't be noticed

  • ^I liked the detail in the BBC article about a huge amount of that being fly tipped in the New Forest

  • Out of all the corrupt stuff that went on during COVID, that PPE story seemed ok. Supplied garments were good quality but not used, so landed up being more like an expensive insurance policy against running out. Can't believe incinerating it is better than sending it to somewhere that would use it though.

  • Especially as Calmore is not in the New Forest. But I see what the BBC did there.

  • Can probably write it off with the insurers if it's incinerated?

  • Another debate tonight. "Starmer tell us why you can't fix my potholes now? Is it because you were a mate of Corbyn? Sorry we have to move on."

  • We had our own Molon Labe.
