Ti frame, designed around a 120 travel SID, but will most likely be fitted with a matching Ti fork.
- Internal routing of rear derailleur and rear brake inside toptube, then inside seatstay.
- Internal routing for drooper and front derailleur inside downtube.
- Clearance for 2.6s
- Chainstay clearance for 38/28 double crankset
- Sliding dropouts for 148 rear
A few small changes will be:
- Butted top tube
- 3 hole cage mounts on downtube top and underside
- 31.8 fork legs instead of 28.6
- Internal routing of rear derailleur and rear brake inside toptube, then inside seatstay.

Bike will be built up with
- SLX 2x12 kit, with XTR rings (only way to get 38/28).
- Whiskey Milhouse bars
- Cane Creek hellbender headset and BB
- Bike Yoke dropper
- Rene Herse Fleecer Ridge 29x2.2
And the rest TBD
- SLX 2x12 kit, with XTR rings (only way to get 38/28).

Internal routing of derailleur is unnecessary, bad for shifting, and....
you'll have a hard time getting from the top tube to the chain stays ;-)
But looks good and hope all goes well!

I'd exit at BB and then go along the stays

Yokeless means significantly upping the chainstay length to get decent clearance, is it a weight savings thing?

Intrigued on the metalworking wizardry needed to accommodate both 38/28 double rings AND 2.6” tires. Trying to think of another current bike that manages both - the Bassi Hog’s back takes a double but narrower tires I think, and Rivendell Susies are similar.

Sorry seatstay.
I’ve had frames set up like this at a past gig, and with modern full length housing didn’t have any issues with shifting TBH.

There’s some discussion of whether or not we might use a yoke.
I’d like the chainstay to be around 350mm, it’s how my IF is setup.
And I’d like to believe that there may be some dampening qualities in a longer chainstay?

My IF steel Delux was built around a double and 2.4s and fenders. Should be similar.
TBF I never did install fenders on it…

Intriguing! This looks quite exciting - though pictures of your other de-fendered bike please? 👀

That TI frame you have sold on your webshop looks incredible. Was there a CP thread for it?

I think there’s some pics in the show us your stainless and Ti thread.
Oh here it is, first ti bike pictured is it’s twin and the second one is this one: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/329970/?offset=800

I always to liked the idea. Years ago I used to run full length on the outside of the frame to keep the cables clean in muddy conditions. Didn't work that well. But I'm sure you're right and that's things have improved.
@fredtc I was looking at that ti frame last night. Agree it looks awesome.
I'm actually moving back to New England in June. Couldn't be more excited. Grew up riding in Connecticut in the 80s and 90s.

I've always wondered if the yoke between the chain stays increased lateral rigidity. Not sure a yoke at top does anything structural.

Portsmouth. Right in town. Can't wait to hit some singletrack again. Been in Midwest for the past 20 years riding gravel and crap like that. Definitely will be playing bikes.

This is ace. If you have any need for a commuter tester- happy to lend my services for an Allston to Kendall option over summer.
Also if you know any Geekhouses that need rehoming….. -

How about some Geekhouse Jerseys?
As some folks may have seen in Hulsroy’s thread I’ve launched a little webshop WychWoodCycles.com. One of the goals is to bring to market a hardtail for pooting about New England. This is the current working plans, seen here in a large:
