Thanks everyone, a huge relief. I suspect it is the last Super Vigorelli they built. I also got my Eddie McGrath back which was a relief

Excellent result! A real smooth operation and no one got hurt.
Look forward to the build!๐ -

Thanks John
The plan now is to get the frame to a bike shop and get the BB faced and chased as necessary for BB installation and a headset fitted and the steer cut down to give me circa 50mm to play with for bar height.
I was thinking about a shiny Ritchey classic headset. For the price of more expensive headsets I can get that, some spacers and a classic seatpost.

Super nice! Glad to see the steerer is not cut too short

Agreed. I've left in some stem stack for future proofing. I'll probably start with 20mm above and 20mm below to begin with. It will also allow me to fit the sprinter drops

It's finished! I'll try and get bet photos at the Velodrome

An actual track bike getting ridden on the track? Are you sure youโre on the right forum?
-
• #123
Ha ha! so true. Did an hour to shake it down yesterday eveing. I've changed the saddle and put a San Marco Regal on. The Specialized Toupe has that thin blade edginess but also that thin blade edginess feel. the backside that could cope with that disappeared a long time ago.
Back on the track this morning for the Supervets session. I've upped te garing to 53 x15 so we'll see how it goes

When i first saw the frame i thought that's nice but not really my cup of tea. The build however is absolutely gorgeous, great story.

What an absolutely gorgeous bike. I was getting nervous reading the last few pages. Glad it had a happy ending (the demise of Mercian aside).
Good news!!!! Can't wait to see it build up
And very inspirational sign on the wall;)
