Ahah I do know :) and do not plan Ferragosto, but has to be August as that's when the kids here get off school, as you very well know.

I would love to stay, but with an 8 year old, six year old and baby I fear we may disturb the peace. Maybe in a few years (like twenty).

That’s no problem, we have families here all the time.

We’re tempted too! Could be a wonderful place to drink, eat, relax and ride bikes👌

It’s certainly a place to do all of those.

Lovely part of the world and without a doubt this is a lovely addition. Hope it goes as well as the pics indicate.
If you have a website and are taking bookings I'm sure it won't hurt to pop it on the opening thread.
I know Puglia very well.
Are you north enough to have avoided the olive tree virus? -

Hi,
We are in the Salento area so not avoided the olive tree cull. We’ve been open for 5 years now but are winding down this year.
We are open for August but then having a change around for next year.
The website is http://www.palazzocariddi.com but the photos are fairly old, it’s much nicer now. -

Taking some rooms back for our house and turning the remaining rooms into a self contained 2 bedroom apartment.

Correct, we are open in August and then the b and b is no more, it’s time for us to start enjoying the summers here ourselves. The apartment will still be lovely, with a huge roof terrace etc, just no breakfast.
He IS an Italian 😆
