Thanks, glad you like it! There's still a lot of work to do, and these days I'm not getting a lot of time to work on it, but it's still moving forwards.
I haven't used f-droid before, but I assume it's pretty easy to upload an app to it. I'll check it out...

I didn't realise F-Droid was exclusively FOSS. Getting your app included there is a lot more involved than I expected, but having learned what F-Droid is all about, it's something that I am very keen to do. I'll get around to it eventually.

Oh yes, sorry, I should have made that clear. I'm a big FOSS geek :-D

I'm liking the page numbers. Did find a curious one on Hulsroy's thread where it said page 2 at the very end of the thread but I haven't replicated that on any other threads.
You can also see in that screenshot that the YouTube video doesn't work embedded. I find they only work maybe 25% of the time.

I was able to replicate the page number problem pretty easily. Should be a simple fix :/
I've noticed the YouTube embedding thing too and assumed it's because I'm in Australia, but since you pointed it out, I realise the videos in web-lfgss work fine. Which is a little bit odd since both platforms are effectively embedding YouTube via an IFrame... I'll need to do some more digging, but it could be a tricky one to fix.

is anyone else seeing huge gaps underneath some (but not all) YouTube videos?
In other news Twitter/X seems to be shutting down embedding. I'm noticing tweets going missing on various websites. I honestly don't know how embedding is still working in the app but I suspect it won't be long before they go missing here too

I see the gaps!
-
• #137
Damn I don't know why it's happening. I haven't changed anything in that area for a while 🤔

• #138
Strange, I downloaded the app but it will not open.
-
• #139
Do you see any error messages? Do you see anything at all when you try and run it?
-
• #140
Clicked on it and it took me straight back to the home screen. Android 13 tablet.
-
• #141
Hmm. I've never tried to run the app on a tablet, so I'll assume that's the issue. I'll see if I can replicate the issue in an emulator...

As it is an Android App and it is in the Play Store, it should run on all Android devices, phones, tablets and watches.
-
• #143
Uh, say what now?
It should run on all devices, including watches. Riiiiiiiiight. You obviously know exactly what you are talking about.

Gonna install it on the car head unit so I can post in the watch thread whilst I drive to golf

A little bit of feedback...
I just posted some images to the 'Digital photography' thread. For some reason, I couldn't seem to post the 4 images at the same time, hence why there are multiple posts. I also discovered that I originally posted the 'dng' file rather than the jpg - and when I looked at the site on my computer via a real web browser (firefox) they were not visible, just available to download. So I deleted and reposted.
So, I guess in summary, I'm not sure if I couldn't post 4 images because a) they were too big, or b) it was because some of the images were dng and others jpg.
I also found I couldn't edit posts from the app - needed to go via the computer. So maybe that's a feature that could come in the future?
(and I'm still looking forward to the FOSS version on F-Droid ;-)
Thanks again for the app.

That's interesting. I guess that means there's a difference between what Firefox and your phone consider to be a picture. I may have to build in some kind of transcoder to convert unusual file formats to JPEGs. 🤔 I'm not sure...
The app failing to post all images is a tricky one, but it could just be a connection timeout? There is a limit to the amount of data you can attach to one comment, but I'm pretty sure that's only implemented in the web front end (which the app bypasses) and not the API. I'll have to do some testing.
Definitely need to get working on the edit feature. It's been on the top of my list of things to do for ages, but it's gonna be a grind and I keep finding more interesting bits to work on 😬
For now I just jump to the browser using the menu top right, and edit there (for anyone who didn't already know).
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it

Thanks! Around 70-80 users apparently
Oh, amazing - I've just seen this page so downloaded the app this evening and it's really wonderful! Thank you :)
One small request, is there any chance it could be added to F-Droid? I'm using CalyxOS and prefer to use alternative app stores to the google one (well, I don't have a google account) if possible. I guess there are others on here who would do similarly. Thanks for considering this, and super thanks again for the great app!
