• Cable pull/cog spacing is the same across linkglide lineup (CUES, deore M5130, XT8130) so, in theory, you may end with a perfectly working transmission composed of an 11s derailleur, 10s shifter and 9 speed cassette (not that it makes a ton of sense right now, but in the future, when this parts start to come out of part bins...)

    The only thing to watch carefully is chain length, all the cassettes (1x ones at least) have the same tooth progression fron 11t to 23t, so if you end up using a derailleur rated to a 50t with a cassette that goes up to 41t only... the chain should be longer that needs be ( I think that sizing it so there is no slack in the smallest cog should work or at least be a good starting point if thats the case)
