  • Yes- shepton mallet isn’t too far away 👍

  • Planted some clumping bamboo at the front which is shooting up already but getting blasted by the wind

  • Just had building control final inspection. Take off one door (!) fill gaps in board in utility/garage and put in stair rails .
We’re now looking at going for some RAL painted mustard or orange rails so have a lot of research to do!

  • Take off one door? What does that mean, brick it up or just leave the opening without a door?

  • Love the idea of buying a gigantic stone btw, missed that bit. Have you found one yet?

  • Basically….
The kitchen/garden room has no door internally to the hall and upstairs there is a hall, door to dressing room and door to en-suite and door to bedroom. Something about escape routes and another door to the bedroom apparently means the difference between life and death in a fire..🔥 so we have to take the bedroom door off??!! Send him a picture then we’ll put it back on ( absolute nonsense)
Meanwhile like the look of this type of hand rail - aluminium or steel powder coated in a RAL colour

  • Stone wise - Not yet, seems to be a bit more complicated than i thought - emails and phone calls being ignored etc.
It will happen at some point hopefully

  • Cloudy but light

  • Is the mini pond an old beer keg?

  • No just a galvanised tub someone left outside their house along with a couple of plants with a “free - take me”
sign on it. So I did

  • Hoping to see this when my car is back together. Fantastic work, looks incredible!

  • Of course 👌 would like to see the 900 too!

  • I’m wondering where and when we can sign up for the tour? You’ve done an amazing job, looks great!

  • This is impeccable. So good to see something other than a ten-a-penny Victorian terrace renovation also.

    More pics please!

  • Cheers all 👌 Doing a lot of “temporary - very little cost landscaping currently”. Using leftover materials and making it useable for the next 12 months.
Need to introduce some colour internally and get some art / old Citroen posters framed and put up.

  • just checking in and catching some brilliant updates.

had bit of fun with building control here which may have necessitated similar door shenanigans. thankfully different (and more ideal, that is to say, original) solution now in place. too boring to go into. but we are nearing not having a mini digger parked outside

and have not carried out anything of the magnitude you have done there. looks great

  • Cheers , still loads to do but nothing structural on invasive anymore! Here’s a few pics from the main floor. Upstairs needs some more stuff sorting from a furniture, light shade , pictures point of view

  • just lovely stuff dude. great to see stuff looking stripped back but still warm.

  • Re the stone, as I understand you’re BoA? Literally surrounded by Bath Stone quarries - there are some smaller mines about who may be more minded to sort something out for you.

  • The old mushroom mines are directly below our house!
