So it's been a while but I've managed a few things.
For the boschetti I had to buy a new headset and just opted to replace like for like with a new campag record headset. When I went to replace it I saw the threads on the steerer were cack, so gave it to lbs to replace headset and chase the thread.
I also had a set of campag chorus hubs with zenith rims I was going to use, however the rear had a big Dent in the rim so I used another wheel which is a bit shinier and has less spokes. Looking at them on the bike I think I prefer the shiny Alex rims for clinchers. They have some gp4000 in 20c. I also have some chorus hubs on tub rims which need new tubs. I might put 21/22 tubs on them as I think they might fit with the tight clearances.
Still need to get stem, bars and saddle. I'd quite like to get a light blue saddle from smp for it to go with the pink bar tape I plan to put on.

My French fancy is coming also coming along slowly. I bought a zipp sprint stem to go with the transformer lugged carbon theme. I also managed to get some 30/40mm mixed depth corima rims on dt swiss 240s hubs. Which I'll put some michelin power cup tyres on.
I'd quite like record 11 or 12 speed on there as I prefer the larger hoods for harder riding. Also need bars which I'll probably get some zipp sl70 and a campag freehub for the corima wheels.
I bought some fake lightweight bottle cages and they are dreadful. Looking at it as well I think white cages on this look a bit naff.

Updated the running gear on my mile munching bike. New big ring, cassette, chain, stem, chopped the steerer.
Bars need rewrapping as tape is falling apart. Also needs new wheels as the rims are becoming more concave by the day. Planning on doing amesbury amble audax on this on Saturday.

I'm trying to reduce the reach on the time as its ginormous (415). I bought a zipp sl sprint stem stated as 100 but measures up like 110? The tall headtube on the time helps and I'm going to run short reach bars (zipp sl70). I'm not 100% sold on the sprint stem so if I need to change size I might get the speed stem if I can find one as its a bit less loud.

This looks great with the shallow wheels.

My plan for it was to have a 4 arm record groupset (11 or 12) and the mid corima carbon wheels. Kind of going for a gaudy transformer. The shallow wheels on it are nice but really old tubs, might replace the tyres and see.

I also bought this wheel as it was cheap and goes with my unfortunate zoomy aesthetics, just need to find a matching rear. To go nowhere.

Username appropriate. A change in the weather brings a change in the tunes, bit more upbeat, CAKE - never there.

Fitted new freehub to the corima's, shod with michelin power cup and put on the time. Took it out today for a quick blast and the left pedal mechanism is screwed, so I need to have a look at that. But the bike is pretty fast.
Saddle setback is too far back with the saddle slammed forward. The 175 cranks don't help my knees so have bought some 170 5 arm Sr 11 speed cranks to put on but am looking for record/Sr shifters and mech to fit as well. Hopefully that will help.
The zipp speed sl cages do not hold bottles very well.

Moser is in good nick. Rewrapped the bars and sorted out the bad shifter positioning so it's pretty good in current format.

Moving the stem that once spacer up could help a little.

What bars are on the Moser please?

I'll probably have a play around with stem height but ideally I'd drop it.

They are nitto m109. I have yesterday got some more nitto bars for the boschetti and serotta. Black m109 for the serotta and silver m151 for the boschetti. They are very similar but the m151 is engraved logo rather than paint.

Thanks. I have a set of the m151 but didn't quite feel the shape was what i wanted. Do the m151 and m109 look to have the same profile?

I can do a side by side shot of m151, m109 and piegas later if that would help? I gave up on piegas, couldn't get the 38cm bars to fit in the 3t stem.

Georgeous!

That's very kind - would be useful but not urgent at all!

The nitto bars are 400mm piegas are 380mm.

The piegas are definitely compact but to achieve that the bends are all very acute. Hence me giving up on them for closed face quill stems.

Cheers that shows the similarities and differences pretty well I think. Seems the silver nittos have a bit more of a steep angle down to the hoods, but it's marginal. And I can definitely sympathise with your struggles getting this sort of bar into a quill.

So I did eventually get the nitto bars on and the rest of the serotta al build went pretty quick with an old centaur groupset I had.

Feels alright to ride. Although a change of wheels would brighten up the ride they're doing a decent job of getting me to work. I'm perennially losing brake blocks and had some long valved tubes that needing using. Otherwise reasonably happy.
Superb frame set, deserves some nice 40 mm carbon wheels
