Do you think the tories put the 1o mill safely in an ISA? For a rainy day? I doubt it!
Bet the've already spent it and all this lets not call actual Racism and Death Threats to MP's just that, is because they ain't got it to give back. if they have to pay it back they'd be Actual Bankrupt, which isn't a good look going into an election. -

Tellybox in my kitchen doesn’t get BBC News. (East Anglia freeview reception woes)

It was a political donation. They don't have to give it back, even if they call the donor a racist cunt
-
• #7032
To be fair to them though, he won't give them another penny if they call him what he actually is so you can understand why they're a bit shy in calling him that. They're rapidly becoming so toxic to the electorate, their own members and even their own MPs that anyone prepared to stump up some cash has to be protected.

Anyone else wondering why firms benefitting from winning any Government contract, central or local, is allowed to make any political donations to political parties or individual politicians, or 'think' tanks?
Next you'll be suggesting that government ministers shouldn't be handing lucrative contracts to their chums and old school friends through a procurement "VIP lane" which is designed to allow them to do exactly that. Madness! Of course good old Biffer from the Bullingdon Club should be given a few million from the proceeds of shaking the money tree. Good old Biffer can then give half of it to the party in return for a peerage, and spend the rest on a nice yacht.

They've now said 'wrong and racist'. Where was that last word a week ago?

PMQs tomorrow. Wonder if Starmer can still manage to miss an open goal?
-
• #7037
Of course. A classic of the genre; report something said that was clearly reprehensible, let everyone defend it, then hit them with more so they look like the cunts they are.

This Hester chap seems to fall into the “Racist who doesn’t understand he’s racist” category. About now he will be realising he is in fact racist. I expect him to double down and start backing Reform/Laurence Fox/Britain First

As a software engineer in Leeds (well within the allowed living zone for the TPP office, lol), I've never heard anything pleasant about the place or the guy. Not entirely surprised by his comments.

They still think Johnson is the answer...Jesus wept!

He'd do better at the election. He has a charm that works on people.

How anyone could think that fucking Sex Yeti is the answer is beyond me
-
• #7045
Can Sunak call an election on his own whim? Wouldn't he do that rather than have a leadership contest? Although perhaps it would be preferable to be kicked out in a contest rather than an election

Whilst at the same time not giving contracts to actual established PPE supply companies who had existing contacts in china. Not only did they defraud the country, but they put lives at risk by delaying PPE supplies and sourcing defective products.
They should be in jail.

sex and yetis are independently cool, i would have thought their combination would have been better than that
-
• #7048
How the fuck are they going to get him elected as a MP? They’d have to get someone to stand down, get Johnson selected (which Sunak would do everything he could to block) then hope that they could squeak a win. Which, given recent by-elections, is definitely not a given, especially as Johnson is hated by a large section of the electorate.
It’s fantasy.

Pretty sure his polling at the end of his tenure as PM was worse than Sunak's is now

His previous seat in Henley is now open for him.
