  • ah i can’t get the bbc- any updates/summaries much appreciated!

  • Straight out of the blinky sweaty octopus scene from The Thick of It.

  • To borrow a Malcolm Tuckerism, she's so dense that light bends around her.

  • That blinking is unreal, also why make statements like you will lead them in to he next election, she must know next week when she is booted out or next month it will get played back again and again

  • I take responsibility, I’ve put in a new chancellor, the mark of an honest politician honk honk

    Deluded cretin

  • “Militant unions”!!!!

  • Fucking hell, that was grim.

  • Surely the Tories are just in a holding pattern with Truss until they can parachute in someone else? They need to put her in view as little as possible for as short a time as they can get away with to placate the media whilst a plan is developed and launched.

  • Regret is best served ice cold. And I regret not laying a bet in 2015 on four consecutive PMs worse than the last, with that sort of acca I could have been sipping Negronis with Crispin Odey while shorting the pound.

    I hate my younger self.

  • I’m sure that logic isn’t in play, but none of the other 7 leadership candidates can be considered as they were ‘democratically’ rejected. So who does that leave us with, Gove? The return of Big Dog? Even without the polling, trying to spin either as in the public interest is going to be a hard sell, particularly with people increasingly not buying

  • Is anyone on here good with morse code?

I feel it might be worth checking what she's trying to say?

  • Help me

  • The Tory policy is fuck up, but say you’re sorry afterwards. 👏

    It worked for Boris

  • Did he ever apologise? I thought he just ignored it until the next crisis.

  • Whilst they’re apologising maybe they should apologise for brexit too.

  • The set designer has been by having fun - The clock on the mantel is at 19:22

  • I have vacillated from worrying that you can actually "embarass someone to death" (Craig Ferguson on refusing to tell Britney Spears jokes in 2007), to seeing a reporter on Sky News describing Liz's apology interview as "masochistic" and wondering WTAFIGO because thats some very specific language that suggests something way more than just describing it as "embarassing" or "humiliating".

  • This is actually quite remarkable.

Prince Andrew currently enjoys a 11% favourability rating with Yougov. Truss is on 10%.

    All the nope

  • Less popular than Melania Trump. Equal with Putin.

  • I could have been sipping Negronis with Crispin Odey...

    I hate my younger self.

Well at least your younger self didn't sip champagne with his wife.

    Mea culpa.

(Context: she was CEO of the firm that had just employed me, and this meant champagne in the boardroom on Friday afternoon. It was 2008...).

  • They 11% need there hard drives checked by the sounds of it.
