Anyone interested in a Surrey this week?
Concerns about Easter trains are noted but trains back from Effingham are notoriously useless anyway so would probably plan on a ride back.

Yeah, I'd be interested, as I managed to get my brake back on yesterday. And can sleep in on Friday .

I have an appointment with
IkeaLegoland unfortunately.. -

What you thinking? I'd still be up for this. Weather looks pleasant, maybe even double figures. Could start a bit earlier and spend more time in the pub?

When we ripped up the old carpet a few years ago we found loads of old newspaper. This seemed appropriate.

Yep, but don't wait for me at the start. Long story, but I think i'll be coming late from the NW so will join along the route and roll slowly until you catch up..

So, season is officially up and running! Next official TNRC would be 12th May I guess. As I'm so rubbish at actually attending I can't really be as dictatorial
I have every right to beas I was in the past. So in the spirit of our new democracy lets have a vote, would people prefer the next ride to be...1) Hilly and southern
or
2) Southern and hilly -

Or Welwyn.

I'll go with whatever is the will of the people, as there's no wrong choice here.
-
• #40
So it's Welwyn next week right? Can I therefore submit an application for an SE route for the following on week? Would love to roll with you all again!
-
• #41
Oooh, I think it's still up for debate (I don't mind either way but I suspect others might). Is SE in 3 weeks preferable to SE next week for you? (if it is, that will probably swing the decision)..
-
• #42
I think either will work but I'll confirm later tonight
-
• #43
So it's later tonight plus 5 days :( Anyway I'm not going to be able to make this week so please just continue on as normal and I'll catch you SE in a few weeks
-
• #44
Ok. In that case, as the week is racing by again, let's commit to doing an SE route next time and do the aforementioned WGC this week (sorry @cagimaha !) in the hope that might tempt Matt out..
Thread is here.. https://www.lfgss.com/events/7242/

Just to let you know, child care issues are almost certainly going to rule me out of riding next week.. (so feel free to do Kent 2/3!)
-
• #46
If the trains are working, I'm in.
-
• #47
Kent good for me! Will sort a thread for the ride later on. Any route preference?

We're only accepting monkey pox as an excuse these days.
I have monkey pox by the way.
I don't really, I'm just allergic to hills.
Get well soon G.
At the moment the only way I could average 17 mph would be if my braces got hooked on the wing-mirror of a passing motorist. But the last train is late, the station waiting room is heated and the speedsters can buy us a couple of train beers while they wait. What could possibly go wrong?
