Russian invasion of Ukraine

  • I’d like to see a demographic breakdown of incomes and voting habits.

  • Russia vetoes Security Council resolution condemning attempted annexation of Ukraine regions :)))))

  • Yeah. what did they expect?

  • Just pointing out the absurd of Russia being part of United Nations.

  • More than 600 000 Ukrainian children transferred to Russia. Some with their parents, some - up for adoption. That's one way to replenish a cannon fodder reserve.

    https://youtu.be/wFQTx1jesbo

  • That’s a pretty misleading statement

  • Shit apologists say >>>>

  • Yeah that’s exactly what I am

  • What is misleading about it?
Russian tv has shown planeloads of Ukrainian “orphans” landing in Moscow.
Three planeloads arrived in one day.
    That’s a lot of children.

  • It's fucking horrific and should not be happening but

That's one way to replenish a cannon fodder reserve

Kinda implies they're being taken for use as child soldiers or something, which isn't the case. I guess he means as there's a bunch of Russians dying and they'll need more people in the future to die in other pointless wars.

  • If they are raised in Russia seems quite possible they’ll be conscripted like everyone else at whatever age they’re deemed old enough to fight :-(.

  • The 600,000 number is a somewhat vague, mishmash, unclear approximation from the Russian UN advisor, not sure that can be considered in anyway accurate.
It also detracts from the very real and serious issue of children being taken.
1,800 allegedly in July alone. As you say in plane loads.
But being sensationalist and using the 600,000 surely lessens the impact of the more realistic number we should be worried about which is far less.
Then there’s the point snotty makes.

  • That guy is fucking mad, but hopefully he's not actually sending his teenage kids to the front lines and I don't think these kidnapped Ukrainians are heading there either. Hopefully the war won't drag on long enough for them to end up indoctrinated and conscripted and there will be a way for them to get home.

  • This guy was caught lying about being in Ukraine himself.
His kids will be in combat around the same time Putin’s daughter is.

  • Misleading in a clickbait way.

United States Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield told the meeting that
estimates from a variety of sources, including the Russian government,
indicate that Russian authorities have interrogated, detained and
forcibly deported between 900,000 and 1.6 million Ukrainians.

He [Russian ambassador to the UN] said more than 3.7 million
Ukrainians, including 600,000 children, have gone to Russia or
Russian-controlled separatist areas in eastern Ukraine, but they
    “aren’t being kept in prisons”.

So obviously not all 600 000 children are without their parents and up for adoption but some are.

And if you mean the replenishing cannon fodder part - I obviously don't mean they'll send those kids to war straight away - they'll put them in Russian families and raise them Russian.

One less Ukrainian, one more Russian, right?

  • The diplomacy I approve

  • Will do the same as their old man.
The only ‘action’ will be them photographed praying at a recently taken service station (geolocated to 50k inside russia) and filmed running around stairwells throwing grenades taking a building except there are no UkaNazi’s to be seen killed or captured.

  • Laughs in American

  • @threshedthought reckons today is the beginning of the end of the war

15k russian troops encircled with no resupply, backs against a river.

Could be the largest mass Russian surrender since ww2.

  • What's the difference between a clock and russian forces in Ukraine?

One goes forward and says tick tok

The other goes backwards and says tactic

    Heroiam slava!

  • I'd like to think its the beginning of the end, but at best UKr will only be able to shift the Russians out of Kherson by the time the winter sets in, then it'll be 6 months of freezing stalemate whilst Russia digs in and catches up with training and equipment.

It'll be much harder to boot them out the rest of the country in the spring, and they will be planning their own counter attacks as well. Long way to go I fear.

  • Winter will set in and their lines will be pretty close similar to the stalemate in Luhansk and Donetsk since 2014 but Ukraine now has far better artillery and medium range munitions to keep the russians miserable

  • It'll be much harder to boot them out the rest of the country in the spring ...

    Why?
