That Kepler is rad, look forward to seeing it built up. How wide are you thinking of going with the tyres?

Probably 40, the fork is the limiting factor. The tyres pictured are 42 and it was pretty tight in the fork. I want it to be pretty quick on the road so 40 should be ok.

So almost finished the Kepler, just need to tape the bars and get matching spacers. The chain doesn't seem to be connecting very nicely with the chainring, not sure if it's a worn chain or just the cheap NW chainring I'm using. Also thinking I might get shallower and wider bars. It's got a bit of retro MTB kinda vibe going I think.
Also think I should sharpie out that damn genesis logo on the forks.

And I picked up another project, another Diamondback ascent but this one is the Ex. Nice pink colour, deore LX hubs and RD, Sugino cranks, threadless steerer, true temper. It's got gripshift, which I will of course be throwing straight in the (metaphorical) bin so I'm going to go 1x9 since it's 8 speed. I can use a wide-range 9 speed cassette I already have and technically I can use the current RD with a goat link kind of thing?
I really like the combo of pink and green so maybe thinking a few small green anodised parts to go with it.

Does this go with pink? I'm not sure.

Glad you finally managed to complete it. A thing of beauty in the flesh.

Been making some progress on another build with a frame I picked up on here. General build idea is a kind of fast gravel/all road/tourer.
Pictured it with some random tyres I had just to see what it looked like, but those will change and I am also on the hunt for a slightly shorter silver stem to match the seatpost. And obviously all the other things required for it go and stop.
