A person could be real happy in a shed like that.
Subbed.

Yes, well into this, need to see how it pans out.
Plan on the same + a kids playhouse attachment on one side.
May just copy yours. -

You'll have it finished before you're on the second triangle of your cheese and onion sandwich meal deal.
This is where I'm at.

Glad to see this getting a bump.
I went back a reread the thread and wondered what an ersatz artist den is?
My father in law has a beautiful ersatz artist's den at the bottom of his garden
Google image threw up this:

built with a mixture of bits and bobs, lots of recycled materials etc. Inside it's all painted white, has a clearish room where he paints and then in the back there's a workbench and lots of old tools. It smells like turps and always feels peaceful in there. Outside is stained black palletwood cladding and a courtyard with lots of pots growing.

Nice opportunity there ! I’ll have a couple of spare bits to give away too. One big one small probably.

Agree! Have fun. If you can roughly cost it I would be grateful, thank you!

Why yes I can, note the actual is already over budget and no door or window included. I'm putting almost house grade insulation in the floor and roof and wrapping whole thing in foil breather membrane - this is because the position will get a lot of sun.
The inside will be exposed studs with the outer sheathing showing. This will allow it to feel a tiny bit bigger inside - when winter comes if it seems viable for home office use i will add 60mm PIR or possibly a multifoil product and line it out with 9mm ply.
Also shout out to apple numbers - excellent auto pie chart. Helpful to see that cladding is the big one. I've gone for basic treated feather edge - I would have liked larch but needs must and i'm okay with a trad shed vibes rather than slick wank palace energy.

I used the same roofing stuff when I built the wood store, about 18months ago and set the batten centres at 500mm. As you can see with the summer sun on it and then the autumn winter debris it’s bowed to all hell. Just a heads up.
