These are the ee copies
Both of the ones you linked are Ciamillo copies
-
• #53
If they aren’t up to scratch I’ll happily take them off you for ‘further testing’

So open tubular, not actual tubular I'm afraid. I need to sell the unused pair I have.

Ahh, I thought the second ones were the EE copies but I stand corrected. That means 3 options to choose from!
-
• #56
Haha, I'll be sure to bequeath them to you!

Last few bits have turned up and wheels are now on their way too. With a bit of luck I can get this built up next week

Why mix Aican and Alligator? Curious.
-
• #59
Stupidity mostly, ordered the Aicans under the misguided impression that it was a full brake/shift kit. It came from Taiwan and took a few weeks to arrive so by the time I realised my mistake I figured it was better to order the alligators from a UK shop rather than wait another 3-4 weeks and delay the build.
I may switch to full Alligator or full Aican at a later date if I can be bothered. -

The wheels have cleared customs and should hopefully be with me tomorrow but in the meantime here’s a hasty mock-up with some spare wheels

The paint job is great.

• #62
Its growing on me but I still think I'll end up getting it repainted at some point
-
• #63
The wheels have finally arrived! Worth the wait though, truly things of beauty.
Started throwing some parts on just to see how it’ll look.

Kinda like the cheesy wheel logos
-
• #65
They wouldn't necessarily have been my first choice but I was made an offer I couldn't refuse. Certainly don't hate the logos at any rate

This is looking great.

• #67
Thanks, really excited to get it finished now

So close yet so far!
Dropped everything off to get this built up properly but unfortunately the spindle on the Red cranks is slightly too short for the frame!
So now I need a new crank set but I don't have a clue what will work other than the obvious Hollowgrams. Does anyone have any suggestions? Needs to be as light as possible -
• #69
are sram red bb 30 cranks too short for a bb30 shell ?
-
• #70
You would think they would be compatible but apparently the shell on the Hi-mod is a slightly wider PF30 shell.
-
• #71
I have lightly used 175 52/36 Hollograms available.
-
• #72
i just read about it and it seesm to be bb30A.
Which means you have hollowgram as an option, or other ones with adaptors such as GXP -
• #73
Are they SI or SISL2?
-
• #74
They don’t say either on them, so I fear the worst.

hmm the axle lock-ring says SISL2 so they may in fact be SISL2s. Will drop you a PM

No idea what either of them are like quality-wise but I've got a ZTTO cassette on my gravel bike and the quality is really pretty good so if its up to the same standard then it could be worth a shot.
