  • I've grown tired of my CAAD's incessant problems and have my eye on a Tribewerk. How is the shipping process to the UK from Standert? Does the post-Brexit world pose problems?

  • 'customs may apply'

Mine was pretty smooth. Can't remember having to pay any extra.

  • That's good to hear. Did it take months or was it relatively quick? I wish there was a dealer in the UK. I know VIA carry them, but it's kind of a showroom rather than a shop that carries much stock (or maybe I'm just confused hahaa).

  • you can order through VIA

  • I didn't know this. One of my clubmates works there so will definitely have a chat with him about it.

  • Been riding this as my main race bike for half a season now. Very happy with it!

  • How do you find scandium? compared to carbon on a racebike?

  • Dream bike very nice

  • Very nice. What stem and bars?

  • I was quite surprised on how smooth and responsive the ride is when comparing to everything else i've ridden over the years. It's a bit on the heavy side, naturally, especially compared to my carbon bikes. Important to note that the modern tyre setup help a lot, with 28/30mm tubeless and lower pressures. I'm enjoying it very much!

The stem is an Enve aero and the handlebars are Syncross alu 40mm :)

  • Just swapped out the sram force groupset on my pfadfinder for ultegra 12 speed. Just wondering if anyone is else is running similar set up and how you’ve found tyre clearance with wider tyres and the front mech… I was fine running 38c tyres with sram (just) but with the ultegra it looks like I’d struggle to get more than 33c tyres in there.

This is the front mech fit against my pdw fenders - hoping the metal isn’t going to rub through the mech cable 🫠

  • That is a very handsome bike.

  • Looking at a Triebwerk as a (sort-of) winter bike. They any good?

@returnofthestaff - did you buy one, particularly as I was thinking of it or a CAAD

  • Isn't it a bit too fancy for a winter bike? And wouldn't it be nicer to have mounts and clearance for mudguards?

  • Well I've been looking around and after while you know how it gets... #buyer

Been looking at the Brother Stroma but the cable guides bother me as this would be Di2

  • My triebwerk was post #27 in this thread, but I had already sold it then. The matte grey paint job probably didn't favour winter conditions, but I think the paint is pretty different now.

  • I had a look at the Kettensäge frame, £2k for a alu frame? What am I missing?
