Well at least you wont find eyebrow raising results in women’s cycling. Oh hang on.

I guess the letour.fr site just can't keep up with the official timing system. Now I know to trust it even less...

To be honest that’s just a reflection of the strength of that team. Van Der Breggen and Moolman-Pasio are hardly new names and Vollering has started to deliver more on what people expect of her.

Won’t JV ride sky-style for VWA with Pogacar sat on the end of the train until 1k from the summit? At which point he will presumably stick it in the big ring and pull out another 30 seconds…

Isn't that illegal!
-
• #1464
No. The UCI introduced a rule that you can give bidons to spectators on climbs. If it's a day of the week with the letter 'a' in it, in French, if your sock length is between 9 and 11 inches, when you're riding in the inner ring and if it's not snowing. Something like that, I may have missed some of the more arcane aspects of the new rule. Anyway, he's off to Tokyo, so I don't imagine he really gives a fuck.

Who says he’s handing the bottle to the kid? Maybe the kid is a soigneur.

Tao tomorrow?
-
• #1467
He's clearly trying to stop the kid wresting it from him.

• #1468
I’ve just seen the video and I think you can see him mouth ‘putain merde’ right in the kid’s face. Disgusting.

Pogacar is phenomenal. By that I mean,
I just.dont.believe.it.
Kung's face at the end of stage 5 and Dumoulin's boat at the end of the tour last year said it all.

What so far has made you think this could happen? Whoosh, if trolling.

I want to see Pog’s power data from today. That was absurd.
If you see the data or an analysis anywhere, pls share.

he uploads to strava but without power

Just think about how high his threshold would need to be to do that. He’s in the rarified air of Tratnik and Padun. (Yes, Pog has a bit of previous, but still.)
Anyone seen a comparison with previous TdF times up those climbs?

Someone here quoting 440w, I've not got my head around the translated thread yet to see if it is rumour or evidenced.
2001 : Armstrong comble 5 minutes de retard en 13 km de montée avant de s’imposer en ayant développer près de 450 W dans l’ascension.
2021 : Pogaçar comble 6 minutes de retard en 12 km de monté en développant 440 W.

I've seen it framed as him coping better with a really intense week than the others, rather than his day being exceptional. As in, his recovery is better and was at his normal today while the others were just ruined. Makes sense as a narrative I think.
