Clamp is similar to a Selcof I have.
But yours is nicer.

If this photo is outside where you live, then we are practically neighbours!

Small world! It's not where I live currently but it's where I grew up. I still have my workshop there. There's so many Dutch on here, maybe we should do a meet-up sometime.

I'll try to learn the language by then, count me in anyways.
-
• #31
Ah nice! A confession: I'm actually English, a dreaded ex-pat, nog steeds leren Nederlands. But a meet up could be fun.

Maybe we can organise something later this year! I'll try to remember.

So in the meantime I've acquired - what I thought would be - a very very very nice donor frame. I thought I would sell it on. But it's so nice. It fits me really well too. So now I'm conflicted. MGOOF this, MGOOF that, keep both retro. It could do with a light cleaning sesh though.
(still fucking about with my friends' camera)

It's a late 80s RIH Super Course (one of two top models, the other one is called 'model Campagnolo', equipped with Campagnolo, but the frame specs are the same).
Reynolds 531 competition tubing, Cinelli BB, panto forks, beautiful purple/grey/blue paint and fully equipped with 8 speed Dura-Ace.

Anyways, if it's not too wet later this week I'll take it for a proper spin and see. I'll also post some RIH history for fun.

Oh man, that's an amazing find, lovely! I'm also keeping an eye out on RIH frames/bikes, but they usually get sold in less than 5 mintues after the listing appears on Marktplaats...

Awesome wheels on that RIH. It’s a nice frame but nowhere near as nice as that Vittorio.
-
• #38
Yea the wheels are so shiny! 1988 (?) Campagnolo Lambda-V rims on 7402 hubs. You're right. If I regret taking the RIH apart I can always go back.
-

MGOOF this and then sell it to me!
-
• #40
Great find! It almost looks new.
-
• #41
Oooof that is again quite a score. You sir, are on a winning streak!
-
• #42
I know! Lucky. I took the RIH apart yesterday. I'm still missing the correct bottom bracket tool.
-
• #43
Hi, I might soon have some extra Dura Ace AX bits, in case you are still looking for them
-
• #44
Not looking currently, but thanks for the offer. Im still waiting for a bottom bracket tool to be delivered if anyone's wondering.

Today I cleaned and waxed both frames, after which I started building up the Vittorio a bit.

So good. Especially that seatpost, the way it goes from wide to narrow at the top.
-
• #47
Oh my that Vittorio is even better than I thought. The first pictures perspective on the seat tube is magnificent to behold. The Rih's also very much porn worthy though. The finish on the chrome, enameling and rainbow bands is très cool. Can't wait to see the end results!

I'm still waiting for bar tape and time, but it is almost finished. I reckon I'll go 1x, like this:

Also, bar ends for my weird DA AX bars are impossible to find. I'm thinking of shaping some cork and spray painting it black.
Well, yea! ... And no...? It doesn't have the Columbus pantographing (see pic)
But it is seen on other AIR frames, such as this Daccordi. I don't know who manufactured it.
