What is this luggage? I'm a bit old fashioned in terms of man bags; basically none. All bags are essentially an assault on masculinity to me. Genuinely in the dark as to this signifier?

Oops yes thought I had made a reply, post before yours!

Apparently it is a randoseru, a kind of Japanese leather backpack normally used by schoolchildren

Google lens led me to this wank horror portage

Obvs a pug but frame id? Possibly the sauciest mixte frame I’ve ever seen(apart from the one Ted made his mum a few years back)

There is something quite sinister about that bag. It seems over engineered to carry lunch and some jotters. More interesting than the usual acrylic framebags we see on this thread. Amazed that straight edge wank doesn't involve wicker.

Looking through the rest of the photostream (a real treasure trove btw), the frame is labelled Métro but I can't find any other examples online. The closest is this — maybe it's a custom frame modification?

I wondered if it was a mod, if so it’s beautifully executed.

No self-respecting wanker would have Altus anywhere near their wanker bike, surely?

Is another definition of a wankbrid essentially a HHSDB - hip hop slave dad bike? Obviously was originally intended as a child hauler but as the shine accumulates you realise it’s no longer suited for its original purpose so you buy your partner an e-family bike/kid hauler.
This way you don’t have to ruin your build with anything involving isofix but maintain some semblance of practicality by being able to carry the nappy bag. Bonus points if you’re using artisanal luggage for this purpose.Obvs there are plenty of wankbrid owners without kids but it feels like a natural progression of a practical dad build.
If @Maj steps in with a ruling and I’m wrong I’ll hang my head in shame. -

dad bike
For dads that aren't carrying the baby on the bike I guess (baby/child seat ban)

It's actually one of the rules
low cost (oem parts, deore, atlus decathalon) mixed with high cost

HHSB are to track bikes as insta wagons are to adventure rigs. #548
I think it's a mix:
- Adventure bike for the 1x, big knobbly tyres, bikepacking handlebars
- FBNPNA for the veneer of practicality while discouraging specific practical things
- Dadbike for mostly geared bikes with flat bars used around town
- HHS/porn because it's really about showing off
- Adventure bike for the 1x, big knobbly tyres, bikepacking handlebars
