I had fun building this last year, but due to space it needs to find a new home. Just to clarify, no brakes, bars, stem, saddle, etc. just whats listed below.

The forks, wheels, bottom bracket, headset and mudguards were new or NOS for the build. Front is for Canti or v-brake, rear is for Long drop caliper (current rear brake set up is with a steel rack strut I made in order to fit the mudguard – will photo later). Bottom bracket was reduced to 68mm and threadless cartridge YST bb installed.

Like this a lot. What steerer extender is that (or is it a Sheldon handlebar special)? Or do those forks come with a mahoosive steerer (unlikely, but you never know)?

I ended up using a Soma XL quill to ahead (can include for an extra £15) and a chopped down 31.8 seatpost as a spacer, with no top nut on the headset. Seemed fine after a year of riding, and a lot cleaner looking – can also supply the spacer of course!

If I wasn't building a stupid klunky MTB I would be keeping this
